Fez is coming to XBLA in 2010

Fez is an upcoming platform game developed by Kokoromi, an independent development team and published by Polytron. Fez has been in development for 2 years and has won an ‘Excellence in Visual Art’ award at the Independent Games Festival in 2008 where the game was also nominated for the ‘Design Innovation’ award. The game utilises 2D pixel-art style perspectives in three dimensional levels, with the player having to flip the scenery in order to advance further through the levels. (more…) (1 comment…)


Gears of War Book: Jacinto’s Remnant

If you just can’t get enough of Gears of War, then a new book will be right up your street. Titled ‘Jacinto’s Remnant’ and released on the very same day as ‘Dark Corners‘ DLC for Gears 2, the story picks up as Jacinto is sinking into the earth while Marcus, Dom and the rest of Delta Squad work to lead the city’s refugees to safety. Left 4 Dead 2 will get a playable demo

Speaking to OXM at a London preview event for Left 4 Dead 2, Valve’s Doug Lombardi confirmed that the company will be releasing a multiplayer demo for the game ahead of its release in November. (more…) (9 comments…)

DICE, an Electronic Arts Inc. studio, today announced that Battlefield 1943 will be exclusively available July 8th on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Silverlight Advert reassurance from Microsoft

Microsoft being sued over Xbox Live

During 1991, two friends named Peter Hochstein and Jeffrey Tenenbaum came up with the idea of somehow communicating live whilst playing the same game in seperate locations. Feeling strongly about the idea, they patented the technology idea for it in 1994. Some considerable time later in 2002, Microsoft released Xbox Live which allowed gamers to communicate live whilst playing the same game in seperate locations - you see where this is heading?
