Street Fighter 2 guided tour
The guys from GameVideos have released a video in which they’ll show all the features for the upcoming game Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighter. They’re very thorough by looking at almost every aspect of the game, from video options to Xbox Live play.
Unfortunately a big part of the video is dedicated to Xbox Live lag. The game slows down to make sure both players get to play the same match and the game won’t get desynchronised. On the other hand this is just something you encounter with every game, and slowing the game down is obiously the better choice when comparing it to teleportation you see in other games.

They’re also talking about the screen ratio. As you can see in the image above you, you’ll only have a small box in which you can play, this can be stretched however to fit your screen. You’ll play with a fat Chun Li if you stretch it too far.
Also mentioned is that this game is still ‘work in progress’ so Capcom can change some of the things ranted about in this video. The game will be released somewhere this Year (hopefully this month).

two updates this and dashboard i wonder if we still get moaners and whinners !!!
“Also mentioned is that this game is still ‘work in progress’ ”
I wouldnt call that an update.
SF2 is the Duke Nukem Forever of the 360.
What I don’t understand is that, surely, SF2 must be tiny in size compared to ANY modern game, so how on earth can they be having so much trouble with lag?
To be honest, I’m considering just buying the wee SF2 game from Maplin instead. For a tenner you get two six-button Megadrive (if only it were the SNES!) joypads with an inbuilt version of the game for you to plug into any TV.
Lag has nothing to do with the size of the game
No, but surely the size of packets being passed etc are considerably less for a game like this than, say, GRAW? You’ve only got the two characters positions/stances and their current attack/movement etc to account for. And the levels are tiny. And 2D.
duke nukem forever is 10 years on kinda not in that delay area surely !!!
The lead designer or someone who is important to that company has just left, making more of a delay immenant.
They are right on schedule.:)
