Half a billion Halo 2 games played
When I first read this article on on Bungie.net I thought ‘half a billion Halo 2 games served is pretty much..’ after a couple of seconds I realized it wasn’t much at all, it’s an INSANE amount of games I almost can’t believe. Bungie’s Frankie clarified that the number is referring to the actual games, not player-sessions.
500.000.000 games is pretty much but Halo 2 was always good with setting new records. The game’s surpassed lots of other cool numbers in the past, including numbers of total players and hours played. And to date it holds the record for selling the most copies of a non-crossplatform Console game. More stats for Halo 2 can be found on this page.

That’s alot of gamers playing Halo2.
Yeah I do find it a little hard to believe, but they’ll probably know best at Bungie.
I hope you didn’t misinterpret my reason for posting the numbers above. I wasn’t implying that the numbers were inflated. I was saying “OMFG! That’s alot of F-ing games played!”.
