At E3, Gamedaily had a little chat with the ever extravagant Tomonobu Itagaki of Team Ninja. They discusses some interesting new details for the upcoming Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. Apparently the trailer that was released on the Marketplace during E3 was real-time! More details after the jump.

• The trailer that was released on the Marketplace during E3 was done real-time, it looks better than DOA4 because Team Ninja didn’t have to waste any time on making it run as fast-paced as DOA4.
• Itagaki loves Xbox Live and DOA-X2 will feature some sort of online play. No details yet.
• Itagaki also loves the Xbox 360 and will continue developing for it ‘the next few years’. When he was asked if he would work on the Playstation 3 and Wii he said that ‘he would look at both consoles once they’ve hit the market and then decide at that point what projects he will make available to each.’
• Itagaki didn’t take DOAX as serious as the rest of his games but he will take DOAX2 seriously. There will be more bathing suits than the original (which already features 300 of them) and they’ll have ‘more meaning’.
• DOAX2 is set to release this year without the delays that DOA4 suffered.

Itagaki also proved once again that he’s tougher than Arnold Schwarzenegger and Chuck Norris combined:

We asked Itagaki if he had gotten the chance to play Virtua Fighter 4 or 5, and he told us that he went out to an arcade but couldn’t find VF5. Instead, he played VF4 and beat the game with 100 yen. While not trying to justify the difficulty of DOA4, Itagaki did think that it was too easy when he could beat the game on 100 yen without ever playing it before that time.
