Microsoft-published first-wave Xbox 360 games for $29.99
Project Gotham Racing 3, Kameo: Elements of Power, and Perfect Dark Zero were all released at a lowered $49.99 price point (yes, that’s considered lowered) when the Xbox 360 launched in November. Following two price cuts for other 360 games FYE lists the three games for $29.99 in their new Sunday ad.
The online store does not reflect this cut or any of the previous cuts, which may make it possible that these are the next games to join their $39.99 siblings and not just a store-only thing.
The ad also states that there are no rainchecks and there’s a limit to two per customer as if it’s a sale. We’ll know later, but even if it is, you can head on down to your FYE and pick up a game or two. Kameo is good and I’d heartily recommend PGR3 to anyone, especially for $30.
For the uninitiated, FYE, or For Your Entertainment is a multimedia (music/games/movies) store not unlike Virgin Megastore.
Virgin Megastore has free porn. Haven’t seen any of that at FYE.
FYI: If you have the FYE ad, you can go to Circuit City and they should price match the ad. Just did it without any problems.
In the UK xbox360 games are £49.00 pounds which is $90 dollars

yeh we pay £39.99 which translates into $73.69
$59.99 is the price is usa which is £32.50
so we get stung for £7.50 or $13.70
Wait a minute. The exchange rate in the UK means that UK goods are relatively more expensive to US buyers and US goods should be relatively less expensive in the UK. So, it’s not fair to price the games at £49 just because they’re $49 in the US. Sounds like it should sell at something like £29 instead. Poor UK gamers

No, I think it means that they will not not re-check the pricing, it will remain that way.
I think it means if you come and they don’t have any they won’t hold it for you. I’ll look.

When will it reach MediaMarkt in The Netherlands with this prices? PGR3 I already bought for 33 Euro’s in a special offer, but Kameo for 30 Euro’s would be nice! Call of Duty 2 also by the way but I think they won’t do that in soon…
good news for people just buying the system. i hope that soon the release price of the games drop. id like to see 39 for first party, and 49 for second.
