Psychonauts creator demands BC
According to 1Up, Double Fine Productions company owner Tim Schafer demands from Microsoft that they make his game Psychonauts backwards compatible. Schafer said he offered help to Microsoft to give them insight in the game engine but they responded by saying they have ‘top … men’ working on backward compatibility around the clock.
Schafer got kind of pissed when the backwards compatibility update from a couple of days ago didn’t include his masterpiece. Microsoft let him down even after all the help he offered.
You know, if it would help, we’d be willing to fly all our engineers up to Seattle, and they’d do all the programming! Or, they could just tell you exactly how our engine works, and we could probably get it running on the 360 in just a few hours!
Now he wants you to do the following: send an e-mail to this address and tell them you’re a sick 9 year old boy in a hospital, whose dying wish is to play Psychonauts on his Xbox 360. The e-mail address really exists, it came from the MS BC page.
I want you to get up. I want you to walk over to your window right now. I want you to open your window up, and then I want you to stick your head out, and then I want you to take in a nice breath of fresh air, and then I want you to close that window and walk back to your computer and click on this link and send Microsoft a heartfelt message. Something to the effect of, “I am a 9-year-old boy in the hospital, dying of consumption, and my last wish is to play Psychonauts on my XBOX 360!” (Please, try to make up your own disease.)
i would def buy this game if it was bc, i played the demo/read reviews, and it looked cool, i just never bought it
This is a fantastic game. Very tripy and lots of fun.
I had a lot of fun with this game, up to a point. Towards the end, it got really monotonous and I didn’t finish it.
Psychonauts was loads of fun to play. Make it BC so I can see it in 1080i
This go out to Tim Schafer, get in line. There are so many games that should come out before this. You sound like a 9 year old little boy. If you love your game so much how about you make a Psychonauts 2. Besides that I will not play that one ether….lol. Games like NFL 2K5. should be BC cause there will not be a good football game for four years. Links golf should be one to. Tiger just sucks. And Pro fishing is the last one I will say. Cause there are no fishing games out for the xbox 360. So Tim Schafer in time we will all get what we want. Sometimes we just have to wait. And thanks for the e-mail addy I might just write them and say I’m a 9 year old little boy and would love to play NFL 2k5, Toca 3, and Pro fishing on my xbox 360 before I die…..how sad.
Just where do you get the idea that there won’t be a good football game for “4 years.” What, is EA thinking, lets abstain making Madden goodfor 1460 days, and after this period of comedy, we’ll consider making a quality game. You my friend, are on crack.

I like what I’ve played of my PS2 version of Psychonauts…except that giant fish battle, which I’m stuck at. Its camera is ridiculously annoying. Plus, I’m having trouble playing my PS2, which is why KH2 never got finished. Oddly, I just got through playing Skies of Arcadia on my Gamecube just fine
well, this kinda sums up what I’ve thought all along, that ms is lying about bc… they must not really have any interest in continuing it, which I can understand from a business standpoint, but they really should be more forthcoming about it and stop pulling a sony.
Esp when “mr. pr” major nelson hryb is making digs at sony for not delivering on promises.

I just went out and bought psychonauts in hopes that it becomes BC… i remember really wanting to play that game but it came out during college and those were busy/lazy times… now i hope they put it on BC so i can finally play it (in anti-aliased glory!)
