Chromehounds goes gold
Gamespot has reported that Chromehounds has gone gold. Soon, we’ll all be able to blast eachother with huge building-sized mechs and with guns the size of trees on Xbox Live. Chromehounds is supposed to have an amazing amount of customization with different hardware and paintjobs galore. I smell some future Xboxic crew matches in the making for the future.
While it takes place in a different universe than the MechAssault games,
Chromehounds sports a similar brand of towering mechanized combat. The game features a single-player campaign, where players must take one of three sides in a futuristic tripartite war using one of six different types of mechs. The game also sports online play, which will let players engage in a series of standard multiplayer modes including capture the flag, deathmatch, and free battle. The game will also offer “a persistent Neroimus war mode” that will continue the scenario featured in the main game.
While we wait for the release of Chromehounds, cry about the fact that we won’t be recieving this faceplate, because it’ll only be available in Japan.
Chromehounds will be released June 29th in Japan, July 7th in Europe and July 11th for the USA.

Looks good. I hope I like it. I haven’t liked a mech game since I played Starseige. ( the precurser to tribes ).
i prefer simple type mech stuff, like in the lost planet demo, i thought that was excellent. and mechassault 2 was ok.
badass faceplate though.
Dangit, Chris, now I’ll have to get this game.
GOOD. My wonderfully evil plan has worked.
sweet i was finally first to posting news
but really this game in my opinion is the sleeper hit this year.
