Want to play Lumines Live online? Pay money please!
You heard that right. Tetsuyu Mizuguchi is planning on charging you money to play Lumines versus over Xbox Live, on top of the 1200 Microsoft Points ($15 USD) you’re already paying for the game.
In an interview with Game Informer, Mizuguchi said that you will be able to buy the “basic” form of the game for 1200 MP over the Xbox Live Marketplace and then buy another pack letting you play online.
At least that’s the way we have it planned right now…We’re still trying to determine if we’ll package versus in the base package.
Why, though? They want more money? They can’t fit the multiplayer in the 50 MB limit? Even then, why are they still charging us? Mizuguchi’s got some ’splaining to do.

Game just got scrapped of my wannahave list unless they state this is not true.
I would accept “other” content to be purchasable, but not multiplayer. That should be in the package. I think we may have a new “horse armor” coming our way folks
Btw, I bought all the content for Oblivion except the horse armor. My way of telling Bethesda what I think of it.

i only bought the pirate cave so far for oblivion, might buy the expert dungeon.
as far as lumines charging u extra for multiplayer, it better be a full fledged game with alot of different content. if its just connecting u to another 360 with no stats then thats a ripoff. if they make a whole full fledged online community with tournaments, stats, ranks etc etc thats ok i guess. u gotta factor people are paying way more than 15 dollars for the psp version, and i think its only ad hoc. if multiplayer is like 400 credits, has a full fledged community backing it with constantly updating madonna videos, then ok. if its the same thing as the ad hoc mode, well no thanks.
that dungeion is kind of “meh”… the wizards tower is cooler

I dont buy into the marketplace. I bought uno because it was priced around the same as a physical deck of uno cards.
I refuse to participate in ms’s fleecing of gamers. I came from pc gaming, and crap like this is exactly why modders make their own stuff for games.
It will keep happening and getting worse unless people speak with their wallets.

Why are people always so happy (or shortsighted if you wish) to blame all the world’s woes from wars, hunger and actually paying for something on Microsoft? Are they the root of the axis or evil or something?

I have heard very little about this Lumines game. Do I even care? It sounds like a real D!ckhead move to charge extra after purchasing the Full game, and having to pay for a full game w/ online play. Havent we been paying for the full game with online play on all the current arcade games?

ya thats the most BS ive ever heard. I know its true but why would they charge us more for multiplayer? This is going to cause other companys to try and rip us off as well. I really think if they want there fan base to stay they need to rethink this extra pay BS.

Fudge that sh1t im not paying to play this game i wanted to play it bad to but nah i think i stick with tetris when it comes out.
1200 points is quite alot as it is. Extra money for MP is just absurd. I can understand more money for extra skin packs, multimedia packs but for MP? Thats really askign alot from their fanbase. (I will still be buying the base pack. Just becuase I love the game!)

1200ms points! didnt think this game would be that much. Ok its a good game, I have it on the PSP and its very addictive. Starts off a bit slow but I suppose it makes for a chilled out gaming experience.

hmm have a idea.. i create a free downable pinball game.. but you have to pay 20 cent per game.
I’m sorry, but some people do make me laugh.
You get all wound up about the fact you have to pay a few more £/$ to play online or buy downloadable conetnt for a few more £/$, and you all get major wound up about it, but as soon as a new Football/Soccer or Madden game hits the shelves, you all buy it in a mad rush when all that is changed is the rosters and a few diferent animations and camera angle with hardly/no resent what so ever. You just got ripped a lot more £/$ for doing that compared to what you get for a little fee.
Having to pay an extra fee for multiplayer support is a bad joke –> No Lumines for me
