Halo 2 team signs $1 million Pro contract
Team Final Boss, the top 4-man Halo 2 team in the world, got themselves a lucrative contract at MLG worth 1 million dollar. Additionally individual player Tom “Tsquared” Taylor signed up for $250,000. The signings are the largest ever in the (short) history of the professional gaming league.
Team Captain David “Walshy” Walsh of Final Boss, joined by fellow gunners Thomas “Ogre1″ Ryan, Daniel “Ogre2″ Ryan and Ryan “Saiyan” Danford in the league, was honoured by the contract: “This kind of contract just shows how serious MLG is about building the League. Three years ago I never could have imagined that I’d be making more money than my parents playing video games!”
The only loss the guys of Final Boss sustained last year was against Team Str8 Rippin, whose captain was now granted the individual contract. Tom was already featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and several other high profile publications. On a similar note to the gamer signings, MLG has announced that Red Bull is now the official drink of the league. Didn’t expect that one did we.
