Datel Bluetooth 360 Headset out June 30th
Most people are satisfied with the standard headset supplied with their Xbox 360 Premium, but some are out for a replacement, either because they (rightfully) think the original one sucks, or because they have specific demands, or because their cat ate the cord of the stock headset. Whatever the reason, another contender steps in the scene for replacement headsets for the Xbox 360.
Since the 360’s launch people have already been begging for wireless headsets, and some people have done some DIY themselves to mount Bluetooth functionality on the 360 controller. Now Datel steps in the scene with exactly that: a Bluetooth gaming headset that fits snugly on the 360 controller, set to be released on June 30, 2006 for 60 British pounds if we’re to believe Amazon.co.uk. Why in the name of God they’re not selling that elite small BT connector separately since lots and lots of people already have a perfectly functional BT headset is beyond me, but hey some marketing expert probably considered it a good idea. Let’s just hope he gets fired and they will sell the adapter soon for 15 quid max, because I don’t think many people are seriously going to spend $100 or 90 euro on a new Xbox Live headset.

the MS bluetooth headset don’t uses a transmitter.. it uses the same frequences as the the xbox 360 controller that is already in the air.

Wow… I couldnt wait to get one of these but not for E90! Forget that, I’ve already had to replace one headset because of my dog (I laughed when you mentioned cats i nthe article, my cats stay away from my 360 stuff, and rightly so)… I’ll just stick with the wired one, thank you very much.

I’m waiting for the wireless headset Microsoft is coming out with in the fall. You don’t have to plug anything into the controller. It communicates directly with the Xbox 360 itself.

there is a thing called dog school, and they actualy can train your pet and you to not eat everything and stuff. You should look into a local chapter. Im surprise your controller and console have not become chew toys! My friend had a dog that used to dominate all their remotes. They came home one day and the bitch was on their bed with circut board pieces hanging out of her mouth. They found plastic peices for months. lolz!
note to cat owners: dont leave your friggin headsets laying around

The hell were they thinking not putting out a adapter only package? I would love to give a pimp hand upside the head of Mr. Marketing Moron that decided to rip us all off. He or she must be from a different planet where everyone doesent already have a bluetooth headset for their cell phone. wtf, cheap money grubing arses?!?
