N3 requires a hard disk, if you’re in Canada [Updated]

According to Canadian edition of Xbox.com Ninety Nine Nights requires a HDD but apparently that’s not the case for the American and British version. The game hasn’t been released in those countries yet (August 15th according to EBGames) but it’s out in Japan and Babelfish tells us that the Japanese version doesn’t have the HDD requirement. All in all the majority of Xbox.com localizations state that N3 is only ‘Hard Drive Enhanced’ and it’s probably the Canadian one that got it wrong… More Xbox.com oddities after the jump.

Update: It’s officially a cockup and has been fixed.

Ninety Nine Nights

The N3 story isn’t unique. Everyone and their mother is getting annoyed by the lack of an official releasedate for Street Fighter II and the fact that Microsoft and Capcom are unable to release a simple 15 year old arcade game but the Australian Xbox.com seems to have the answer we’re looking for. The site states that SFII is expected July 30th 2006. This is to be taken with a grain of salt though; until today the American Xbox.com said that SFII was coming March 2006 but they quickly changed it to ’summer 2006′ after several sites started reporting on the Australian ‘date’.

Ok that’s all for now, go ahead and leave a nice comment on how much you love waiting for Street Fighter II.

Thanks to knickersnot and mOrToG for submitting the SFII news.

I had a dream that I bought SF2:HF on the Marketplace for 400 points and then played Quarter matches. Then I woke up, sadly no SF2 on my 360.

I am at the point that i really don’t care. The lack of content on XBOX Live and the lack of games period for the 360 over the last month is pathetic!

Football Manager 2006 needs a HDD. And it’s not that good. It’s supposed to utilise the HDD to speed up data caching but it’s still hella slow. And buggy.

well if it are only the BS games than nobody will care. But N3 was hinted as one of the games to buy a 360 for, so i am interessted/

well, we get the new cod2 maps this week. fourtwozero.statement

five new maps for 800, not nine hundred credits. hopefully, since they admit they decided they launched these early, the xbox crew can post them.

N3 doesn’t need a hard drive apparently
