Chromehounds demo available
Apparently Major Nelson heard our cry for content because the Chromehounds demo went live tonight, something that was predicted earlier by this rumor. The demo is available in Europe and Japan. For some strange reason the US and Canadian folks aren’t getting this one but you’ll be able to get it with the region-lockout-workaround-thingie. The demo weighs in at 554.89MB, has 2 singeplayer missions (a sniper one and a regular one) and isn’t region locked.
Chromehounds’ releasedate isn’t too far way; July 7th for Europe and July 11th for North America.

This is a good start from all the backlash that has begun since no Prey demo.
Well, if you’re reffering to this demo as ‘good’ you’re a bit off. I’m not enjoying it the slightest… But fair enough, they’re giving us content, it’s a start.
You’re right, this demo is lame, that box in the top-right hand corner (copying GRAW, forgot what it’s called) is lame. The explosions are weak, half the time they don’t explode, just dissapear in a cloud of smoke and the building collapse is no better than in Mech Assault 1.

Past games had the ‘box in the corner’, this isn’t copied from GRAW. SWAT 4 came out a year ago April and has it, you can even expand it and control remote sniper(s) manually.
Well it was only the game developer who said the release date for the content on marketplace.
Microsoft have never said it would be on the marketplace on this date so im happy with them.
It’s kind of getting boring reading all these posts syaing WTF is the prey demo. It will be here when it comes.

At least some content that Europe got before the USA instead of the other way around.
However, they should make all content available to all of us. Would make live so much easier to not have multiple accounts in Europe, USA and Japan

internet may not be blocked.. and saying “movies sooner released in the us” not true too.. you never see trailers at a later date in eu.. and for many big movies there is a worldwide launch.
And about gaming/movie laws.. you know the same as me.. in Netherlands or belgium etc there is not a true law against these (childproven etc)

But I think France is in Europe also and often they even didn’t get the stuff that the rest of Europe did. I can imagine it’s not because of special laws.
Furthermore, why did Ridge Racer 6 (allright a lame game, but still) appeared in USA real soon and in Europe on marketplace so slow? I cannot think of any law or other legal issue for it
its all strategy. which market will best benefit from it. right now the europe and japanese markets are very slow, so they wanna try to breathe some life into them by giving them a exclusive demo. it comes down to where will this best benefit us.

Hey just wanna let everyone know this game is real good stevie doesnt know a good game or he couldnt figure it out. They let you play A Frontline Specialist Soldier or A Sniping Specialist. The Sniping is real good.But the only problem is that the robots that they give you move like real mechs so they arent as fast as the mechassault mechs but its better than mechassault.I suppose they will be faster if you put the upgrades on your mech they dont let you do that in the demo though but graphically this game looks amazing and i only have standard def t.v. cant imagine how good it’ll look on HD.
Totally agreed with Nino. It was about the sniping level at 12:30 AM I realized I wasn’t having fun and turned off my 360. The mechs move way too slow, the environments are bland, and from what I remember in the future, the sky seems to only have one color. I hope this is a really old build, and that the final version will give us a boost, a jump, and better graphics. I find it hard to believe there’s a 360 game in which LT and LB do nothing.
Capcom’s got this demo-making thing nailed. Lost Planet doesn’t come out until January and they put out a fantastic demo in May.
Oh well, at least we’re getting content.

Right well we all agree the demo was shit, but the full game is okay, and the multi kicks ass.
