Street Fighter II to cost 800 MP
So it would turn out that magazine scan we had earlier was a nice combination of “spot-on” (PDZ and PGR3 map packs, Cloning Clyde) and “not-even-close” (Street Fighter II). We know the date’s been pushed back further from “June” to August 2nd, but it looks as though the price went up as well.
Gamespot reports that at Microsoft’s little shindig to promote the Summer of Xbox Live, Microsoft bursted our 400-point bubbles and confirmed Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting’s price as 800 Microsoft Points. Now we can all go from asking “Where the f**k is Street Fighter?!” to “Why the f**k does Street Fighter cost so much?!”

800mp is fair enough for me, because it’s a game I’ll probably play more than any of the existing full-price ones I’ve bought.
Compare that to DOA4’s £60 price tag and you might see my point.
Wouldn’t have been entirely happy if it were 1200, but I think 800 is ok.
I was going to throw down 1200 MP for it, so I am happy with 800 MP.
Does anyone know it they will continue to release games at a steady rate after August 9th? Supposedly, they plan on releasing 29 more games by years end… after August 9th…
I think 800 points for a 10 year old game is way too much!!! why pay 10 dollars for a game that i already have on xbox and pc i rather just play DOA4 its more exciting!!!
Then just do that. No one is forcing you to buy it. They had to do the work to get it working on the 360 so they should be paid for their efforts.

That price is a joke when the 25th anni. is avialable for xbox for around that price if you look. If you really need to play this game I have word for you…. MAME !!!

I wasnt trying to convince anyone to not get it but to point out the the original xbox has a stret fighter aniversary collection where you all of SF on one disc not to mention you can go live with it!!!!!! im pretty sure if you look around you can find that one disc with everything on it for the same price as if you were buying it off the market place!!!!

will the price on downloads go down in time? its not really fair on the people that cant pay to download them. Look at xbox 1 extra content, you only have to pay when it first comes out then a few weeks later its free. ill prob get streetfighter coz it will be good online. Cant wait for Mortal Kombat

800 mps still a fair price comparied to graw chapter 2 pack but save 400 on getting style pack from prg3 for free
I must say i have no problem paying this price - £6:80 in the UK - the price of just over 2 pints, to reminise of the good old dayz and to play online not to mention achevment points it has to be worth it.I can understand why it might be a problem for the kids but some get so much pocket money nowadays (god iam sounding old) that what is six quid to most people, then again how did they get the 360 in the first place. What i would like to see is Mario Kart online but guess that will never happen as i think nintendo own that but please correct me if iam wrong.

I am not one that complains about $2.00 downloads or even $60.00 for a good game but $10.00 for something that is 20+ years old is insane.
I know, I know - just don’t buy it then. I like old school stuff normally but this is one title I would not download if it was free.
