Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers coming to the XBLA
Seems like Microsoft it taking their precious Xbox Live Arcade more serious every day. Releases are ramping up and more and more devs are willing to release their stuff on it. In a recent talk with Game Informer indie developer ‘The Behemoth’, known from Alien Hominid, announced that they’re releasing their last-gen multiplatform game for the Xbox Live Arcade soon. But that’s not all, their upcoming game, called Castle Crashers (click here for a trailer), is also coming to the XBLA. Castle Crashers was shown running on a Gamecube at last year’s Comic Con but it’s confirmed for the Arcade now.

Castle Crashers.The Behemoth’s new 4-player side scrolling action brawler is now called Castle Crashers. The company debuted the game in alpha form running on the GameCube at last year’s Comic-Con. Currently The Behemoth plan to release the game in early 2007 for Xbox Live Arcade. Pricing has not yet been determined, and whether the game will be released on other consoles is also unknown at this time.
Also, for those looking for more Alien Hominid love – that title will also become available for Xbox Live Arcade this Holiday. Two player co-op has yet to be confirmed, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed.

50 XBLA games by the end of the year? About 40 of them will be shyte, just like Alien Hominid.

I paid $50 for the PS2 version of AH. For that price, it’s not so great. For $15 with Live co-op and achievements, it’s perfection.

im glad to see something that isnt a variation on asteriods or tempest coming out for the arcade finally. this guys and ninja bees may be the best thing to happen to the arcade.
YOU KNOW WHATS FUNNY IS THAT EVERYONE ALWAYS PICKS APART EVERY XBLA GAME THAT COMES OUT, DUDE, ARCADE IS A SWEET FEATURE AND ITS GREAT JUST TO HAVE APPS ON THE HARDDRIVE. OLD XBOX COULD NOT DO IT, AND THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE GAMES WE PLAY FOR YEARS TO COME, THEY ARE JUST NO BRAINER AND FUN GAMES TO KICK BACK W/ AFTER PLAYING INTENSE 360 GAMES
