Fresh Famitsu scans with juicy DoA:X2 screens
While you’re still at Xboxyde for that Saint’s Row footage be sure to checkout these scans from the latest edition of Famitsu XB360 Monthly. 4 pages filled with juicy new media from the upcoming fan service fest that’s called Dead or Alive: Xtreme 2. The previous game still had the words ‘Beach Volleyball’ in its title but Itagaki decided that volleyball wouldn’t be the only sport in the game. The Xbox 360 sequel to Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball is focused on several activities including jet skiing and going down water slides in rubber tubes.
Itagaki said that Team Ninja was going to brush up the graphics engine that they used for Dead or Alive 4. He stated that he was trying to achieve fast gameplay in DoA4 and he sacrificed some stuff like self-shadowing. DoA:X2 is going to feature self-shadowing even though it’s not really noticeable in all of the screens. It’s there however. Dead or Alive: Xtreme 2 is expected in the fourth quarter of 2006 but an official date hasn’t been given yet. Now give us Gaiden 2 and Code Chronus Itagaki!
Again, thanks for submitting The M.A.R.T.!

does anyone actually get off on videogame characters? i know i don’t. and btw, it’s “you’re still”, not “your still.” sorry, i had to do it.
Fixed, thanks :). I’m going to marry either Hitomi or Christie.
I’d like Kokoro or Kasumi kthx.
I know a guy that does his name is “luke”
Noooo, the naff minigames are still there
They’d better get rid of the “life sim” aspects of it. The most annoying thing about DOABV (apart from the lack of full-frontal Hitomi shots) was that I could never actually find an opponent to play with in career mode, because I hadn’t bought them hair curlers or something.
Hopefully the game also ships with a full-on voyeur mode, so that some people can stop kidding themselves.
This game will go down well with teenage boys
