Exclusive: Mad Tracks delayed to include Live multiplayer

So you have read our special and our exclusive hands-on preview, and you are amongst the people that consider Mad Tracks to be the most wonderful Xbox Live Arcade title ever if only it would support Xbox Live multiplayer? Well, your prayers have been answered by the Parisian developers.

Denis Bourdain, VP of Mad Tracks developer Load Inc., told Xboxic the exclusive news today that together with Microsoft they have decided to give the gamers exactly what they would’ve preferred to do all along: to make this not only the best Xbox Live Arcade party game for home multiplayer, but also for online Xbox Live multiplayer. The reason for initially not including it was simply a combination of time, money and technical difficulties, with the PC version’s LAN code having to be rewritten from the ground up to be able to run over Xbox Live, but the decision is final now that they will do exactly that despite the several months delay it will cause.

There is no word yet on an updated release date, but rest assured that the Load Inc. developers are hard at work right now to ensure all of us can have some mad online multiplayer racing fun as soon as realistically possible.

Power to the people!!

My god, they do actually listen, now imagine what we could do if big developers like EA actually listened to their consumers.

That time I was first and relevant can’t delete that one. Well I suppose you could, but you shouldn’t.

I only delete really useless comments, like classic FiPo stuff ;)

OK, now, if the trial is any good this may be a purchase for me.

THANK GOD THEY LISTENED>.. This just may be the best Xbox Live Arcade game to date now that its got full live support… GOD BLESS MICROSOFT AND THE TEAM DOING THIS GAME!

Thank God indeed. However, all the thanks goes to Load INC. MS had nothing to do with adding LIVE.

Bit surprised that they’re going to do this, but I guess it’s a good thing, there was a bit of a backlash (undeserved imo) when they said there’d be no Live play.

I’m gonna spread the good news across other forums, and maybe earn myself a free game ;)

wow im surprised. thats a very good move by the devs. No live multiplayer would make this game useless. Finally a dev listens.

Good stuff people :).

A VERY wise decision. I’d rather have this wodnerful title delayed several months, than to have it early with no MP! :) Way to go!

wooohoo!

This is great news. I wonder if Microsoft ‘highly advised’ this to happen.

As a gamer, I’m VERY delighted they decided to do this, I sure wish the developer sees some benefit from this move. I’d hate to see them lose money on this. They’re doing us a huge favor. I hope the game does well.

Way to go Denis!! My constant complaining has helped the cause!!

This is the best news I’ve heard in a long time.

I wasn’t interested in the game because there was no live, now I’m interested. I’m sure this is true for a lot of XBL gamers.

Smart Choice! This game just went from a “maybe/we’ll see” to a “most definitely on day one!” Thank you so much Load, Inc. for taking the time and money to make your product even better. We’ll be happily waiting for you at the finish line!

Wow Denis and Load Inc. You just got a lot more customers. Microsoft will love you.

WHOO!! thats truly awesome news. power to the people indeed. I’m off to play the pc version.

Interesting indeed.

Denis was already one of the best developers ever for coming over here on our forums, but now he’s like Super Developer or something. I was gonna buy before, I’ll really buy now :D

Yes this is exactly what this game needed. This is now a must buy , where as before i wouldnt have gotten it. THANK YOU

Denis, I will now be buying your game. Congrats for listening to the community.

I personally would be happy to pay up to 800MSP for this. Maybe even 1200 if you show us some game footage etc. Do a developer interview video?
