Splinter Cell: Double Agent dated + multiplayer demo
This was already posted a couple of days ago but it slipped under our radars. According to Ubisoft’s ‘Community Manager’ we can expect Splinter Cell: Double Agent in stores on October 19th. Additionally, a multiplayer demo will be available on Marketplace.
This is in-line with the ‘late October’ speculation we posted earlier. The announcement, that was made on the official Splinter Cell forums, doesn’t specify which versions are going to be in stores on that date but we’re expecting it to be the Xbox 360, Xbox, PS2, Gamecube and PC versions. Ubisoft also confirmed a multiplayer demo for Xbox 360 and singleplayer and multiplayer demos for PC. No date is given for the demo but they ‘won’t be showing up sooner than a month before launch’, according to Ubisoft.

Word on the Ubisoft street is that you can expect Splinter Cell Double Agent to be on store shelves by OCTOBER 19th. Mark your calendars, or, if you want to possibly get it early (which sometimes happens… no promises, though) then Pre-Order it now.DEMOS
Ok, so it’s not all completely good news. This topic contains a piece of unfortunate news and a piece of good news, but I think (hope) you’ll be content about it in the end.
Unfortunate News first: we will not be having a public beta test of versus mode (PC) like we did for Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. We’re sorry, we tried to make it happen, but it just wasn’t meant to be this time.
Good News: We WILL be having demos for you. The dev team has confirmed that we will be doing an Xbox360 multiplayer demo, and single-player AND multiplayer demos for PC. I do not have official dates for you yet so I’ll have to get back to you on that, but we can all probably estimate that these demos won’t be showing up sooner than a month before launch because no one ever releases demos earlier than that.

Wonder why no sp demo for 360?
It’s a shame that this game will feature no co-op mode….or have i got that wrong (Please say yes)?
Hopefully Ubisoft could implement it via an update a few months after release

The traditional co-op mode will not be included and is a current-gen exclusive this time around, but 360 players eager for co-op play will be able to get their fix via some of the multiplayer side options.
That’s awful.. I swear I remember reading somewhere that it will be co-op.
i thought it was being dropped entirely….so if i want co-op i’m gonna have to buy the xbox version. Thats lame! I want it on my 360, and there’s no way i’m gonna buy it on both consoles
