Well if SD gamers don't deserve 360's, that limits Microsoft's market for the Xbox 360 by a lot. Having a large market helps keep cost down, but obviously you're not feeling like too much of a dickhead for bashing a huge segment of the market that's helped keep 360 cost lower.

And the same goes for games. If developers could only sell to folks with HD, there'd be fewergames for the 360. They'd probably cost more too.

man i have a normal non hd tv and i can read the print just fine. People complain about the stupidest things. This is the least of my worrys with this game. Maybe if they added a true free roam mode or co-op it would be worth the 60 bucks. Ive played through it many times and have no other reason to play it. Easy game=not worth 60 bills

If they patch the text problem maybe they could be troubled to patch the crap-ass save system. I am sure that would not be any more work than patching the microscopic words. I have an HDTV and the text isnt a problem, but the fact that playing dead rising is like playing a game where all the great content is under glass, visible but just out of reach.

ive got a SDTV and all I have to say is FU*K capcom and their bull sh*t. A lot of companies now have the Xbox live platform to support their games and companies were so used to not providing patches for platforms. This is just designer lazyness

It's hard to read, yea... but not completely unreadable. That doesn't mean they shouldn't patch it though. First they take forever to release SF2HF, now they're 'looking into' this. Way to go Capcom!!!

it cant be that hard to detect the tv setting used and scale the font according to that, shortsightedness on the part of the developers.

I have no intention of replacing my 28" sony wega crt until it breaks.

I dont deserve it too, then. :)
Well, you could give us the money for a HD TV, huh?

You honestly dont blame Capcom?
At least 75% of the 360 owners worldwide play on SD, and not more than 25% on HD.
Here in Europe, not even 10% own a HDTV, because PAL isnt that bad when it comes to quality, and HD´s are still veeeeery expensive.

And Capcom says "Well, in Testing and Bugfixing, we concentrated on HD".
Thats lame sh**, sorry.

SD PAL is barely more than NTSC (576 vs. 480 or so). Japan uses NTSC-J, a variant of the American NTSC-U.

As for the HD penetration: I'd expect the "next-gen gamer public" to have a much higher figure there than "the average American" obviously. Elderly just aren't as likely to buy an HDTV as the average 18-30 year old gamer.

Actually the US only has about a 25% pentration of high definition (that statistic comes from my fuzzy memory of a Peter Moore speach) and we have the highest quantity of HD adopters. It should be noted that the Euro format PAL displays more lines, and i am not sure what they use in Japan but i know HD is barely adopted there. So in essence.. it might just be us yanks who got screwed due to the low res of our standard definition.
