John Terry extends Konami contract

More cover star news from Verbski today, as Konami have announced that they have extended England and Chelsea captain John Terry’s stay as one of the star representatives of the next installment of Pro Evolution Soccer. Terry will be the official UK representative appearing alongside debutant cover star Adriano on the upcoming Pro Evolution Soccer 6.

Jon Murphy, Konami’s UK PR and Marketing Manager said:

“John Terry is a player admired and respected by virtually all football fans and known for giving his all for club and country. As such, we were determined to get him on board for the new game. He was an absolute pleasure to work with during the promotion of Pro Evolution Soccer 5 as his enthusiasm and obvious love of the game shone through. He is already a brilliant advocate of Pro Evolution Soccer 6 – and is chomping at the bit to get his hands on the latest version. We look forward to working with him in the coming year.â€

Terry and Adriano go head to head...

John Terry also had his piece to say:

“As a life-long fan of the Pro Evolution Soccer series, I am delighted to be working with Konami for the second year running. No other game can touch Pro Evolution Soccer 6 in terms of realism. The way the players move on and off the ball is second to none, and I am honoured to be the face of the best football title around.â€

It’s been a good few weeks for Terry, recently appointed England captain, scoring on that captaincy debut, and now a new lucrative contract with the best football game in town. Although I probably shouldn’t mention the beating his boys got at the hands of my beloved Liverpool in the Community Shield…

Anyway I selfishly digress, don’t forget that the 360 version of Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is to be showcased next week at the Games Convention in Leipzig on the 23rd August. Rest assured, as a Pro Evo veteran I’m practically wetting myself at the prospect of finally seeing this game in action on the 360…

Also be sure to check back for our review of PES6, due shortly after the games ‘Autumn’ release on Xbox 360, PS2, PC, PSP and DS…

Yeah it’s been a great week for him. Having more points put on his license for speeding, plus £100 pound fine for lying to police as to who was driving! Haha! Not alot, but the three points matter, as every Prem player knows ;)

And seriously, what is it with the first comment thing?

Didn’t even hear about any of that!
