DOAX2 gets tan lines
A little while back Itagaki-san said that he wanted to improve the graphics in Dead or Alive: Xtreme 2 by great lengths. He wanted to do a bunch of improvements in Dead or Alive 4 but couldn’t because he wanted to maintain a solid framerate. DOAX2 doesn’t require such a high framerate and Team Ninja is going all out. They are redefining what image quality means. They’re boldly going where no man has gone before. They are doing (drumroll) tan lines.
In the latest issue of Famitsu, Itagaki revealed that the girls in DOAX2 get Tan Line Technology, according to IGN. What this means is that the girls gradually get toned as the spend more time in the sun. When you change outfits, DOAX is all about the outfits, the tan lines become visible. You can get multiple different tan lines to show off which outfits you’ve worn. Step aside Crysis, tan lines is what next-gen is all about.

Didn’t that pathectic game called Fable have this technology?
Molyneux said that Fable would get all sorts of technologies; the trees would grow in real time for instance. But a lot of those features got cut before the game was finished. Dunno if that’s the case with the tan-lines but I can’t recall noticing it in Fable.
