Madden 07 tops Xbox Live’s most played for 360

Major Nelson has just issued the Xbox Live stats for the week beginning 28th August, and it would appear we have a new leader as the most played Live game for the 360. Thats right, Madden 07 despite not yet being available in all regions, while also getting complaints from fans because of a few technical hitches, is riding high on Xbox Live.

As is the norm, Halo 2 is untouchable at the top of the Original Xbox List and lets face it; nothing will ever shift it now. While also somewhat unsurprisingly the immensely popular Texas Hold ‘Em is sitting pretty in the Live Arcade list, closely followed by Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting.

Anyway, enough of me rambling, here is the full set of tables…

I picked up Madden 2006 from GameStop for $11.50.

Why pick up Madden 2007? Same game, just updated rosters.

Madden 06 was a horrible game. 2007 is a HUGE improvment.

As someone who was never into Madden or NFL before, i found Madden 06 as a great entry to learning the sport, to the point where I’ll actually watch games now when they are on.

For veterans of the series, i can see why they’d be PO’ed with it.

Damn Madden 06 for 11.50, it may not be as good but still a deal, I wish it was that cheap around at my gamestop.

too bad there is not a decent trade in value for madden 06… otherwise I would get the new one.

That’s the problem with putting a game on the market every single year… The improvement is just too little for the main stream to buy them.

I wish the NFL was more popular in Europe tho :’)

I’m glad the good rainbow six games for the xbox are up there.
And I’m Glad Lockout isn’t.
