Gears of War trailer
Major Nelson has reported that you can now go download the Gears of War trailer in the Xbox Live Marketplace. It’s actually from IGN and it’s titled ‘IGN @ E3–Gears of War Trailer’.
The file is 78.29MB, so it shouldn’t take too long to download the goods. Plus, the servers aren’t bogged down so that’ll add to the speed.
In case you’ve been living in a bomb shelter for the past 43 years:
A third-person tactical shooter from Epic, running on the Unreal Engine 3. Gears of War thrusts gamers into a deep and harrowing story of humankind’s epic battle for survival against the Locust Horde, a nightmarish race of creatures that surface from the bowels of the planet.
Unlike other shooters, Gears of War is all about teamwork in a big way. All game modes, levels and scenarios are designed specifically to encourage co-operative play, whether it be with A.I. partners or human players (with A.I. teammates designed with specific strengths, weaknesses and personalities.) On top of that, voice recognition will be available for players, and obviously voice chat to discuss strategy with your friends. In addition to voice chat, gamers will be able to experience individualized matchmaking, view player statistics, earn player achievements, customize their games, and build and personalize their gamer profiles over Xbox Live.
Note: it isn’t a trailer ‘really’, it’s more of an IGN commentary on the Gears of War trailer. It’s still good to watch, so go ahead.
Gears of War will be released November 12, 2006.

Did they use a 1980’s camera? jesus, makes the game look bad!
1980″s wtf? looks good to me, what are you talking about ?
The poor quality, you not notice that?
it was filmed by camera, did you expect it to grab the suttle effects of the game and awesome textures LOL
No, my mobile phone has better quality than that IGN crap though.
Please Note: I do like the video, it coulda been better quality though.
Yup, I DO like that chainsaw…
Well the shit quality explains why the file was kinda small for the length of the video. And the guy from IGN was a complete moron, was he trying to be funny?
I think the video was still fine although the quality could have been better.
But actually not much more then the E3 2006 demo on stage
I really need some ingame footage in 720p from TGS or X06 but I bet they have covered that. And I want some Halo 3 footage that’ll beat the PS3 launch in spring in Europe
