Pics of Live Anywhere on a phone
Someone named “Dave” showed Mobility Today a few pictures of what Xbox Live is going to look on a mobile phone using the Live Anywhere platform Microsoft showed off at this year’s E3.
The first picture is pretty blurry, but it shows Major Nelson’s gamertag and three selections, two of which are “Games” and “View Gamercard”. The middle is too blurry to make out, may have something to do with his online status. In the second picture, Live Anywhere has the same game comparison function as Xbox Live, just in case you needed to see if your buddy just beat your Small Arms score while, say, in the supermarket.
Less blurry screenshots and more information on the platform will probably be revealed at this month’s Tokyo Game Show and X06 in Europe.

The news is not really fast this week, isn’t it? I already submitted this news here last Monday I believe. Thought already Xboxic did not find it interesting enough.
Your submit didn’t get through to the backend we use to see all the submits I think because it’s not in there as far as I can see. Maybe someone deferred it because he thought it wasn’t Xbox related… Sorry bout that.
And we weren’t that slow this week I think, had more than 5 posts the last couple of days.
It just got prioritized low
I just hope it supports Windows Mobile 2003 SE and not only WM5. Cause I’m sure as hell not buying a new smartphone just to get my Hexic on.
It seems like it says “Friends” in tbe middle
yeah, its the friend symbol
I don’t really see the point in this. I’m really not interested if my friend has beaten a top score; it’s probably because he is better than me. I’m not going to rush home and attempt to beat the game beter than him… that was soooo last century ;). The whole point of going into a place called the outside is to escape from the confines of your living room/bedroom, breathe some fresh air and forget, at least for a moment, about computer games.
I think MS are trying to get Live embedded in our brains, as if we can’t do without it. Well, I for one can, and will not be getting such a thing as Live Anywhere on my mobile. The screens are crap, not HD, no surround sound and the phones are shite. Count me off your list, MS.

Coming to ya Live and direct!
Actually, Dave at Mobility Today correctly sourced Kotaku for that photo. I took it right before my panel with Major Nelson at the Penny Arcade Expo.

I dont think that the “friends list” and achievement parts of xbox anywhere are the best features. If you are a Forza Motorsports fan you will be able to “trick out your ride” while you are doing menial tasks like working.
