Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter release date

Finally Ubisoft revealed the exact date of the latest installment in the Ghost Recon series. Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter will be released for both the Xbox and Xbox360 March 9th. The PS2 version of the game will be out march 30th. Be sure to check out the trailer which was released yesterday.

IGN tells us a revamped version of Bob Dylan’s ‘All along the watchtower’ will be among the soundtrack of the game.

Rapper/singer Everlast and a diverse crew of musicians including Billy Gould (former Faith No More bassist), Raymond Herrera (Fear Factory and Killing Zone drummer), Doug Carrion (Kottonmouth Kings, Dag Nasty guitarist), and Russell Ali (Kamana/Killing Zone guitarist) have joined forces to record a post-millennial update on the Bob Dylan classic “All Along The Watchtower.”

Hells Yeah!

Dag Nasty, wow, maybe I’ll have to buy this one then.

@Nino: yeah, maybe they’ll put some real music like Britney spears on the soundtrack too!

There are actually people who haven’t preordered this yet? :)

You guys need to get your news correct. This is probably the worst excuse for a xbox news site. Everythings always wrong. Just close it down please.

Thanks anonymous hero! Now please give any practical examples of where we were wrong or do you consider that unworthy of your mighty self?

“Thanks anonymous hero! Now please give any practical examples of where we were wrong or do you consider that unworthy of your mighty self?”

I’m not the anonymous hero, but this post announces a release date of 3/3 …. and the article you link to anounces 3/9. When you’re talking about “exact date”, that’s a fact that needs to be checked.

Another example might be using pretty obvious troll posts filled with made-up info as “sources” for posts, as you did with the COD2 patch hysteria.

You have a lot of readers coming here for news - not opinion. With that status as a “news” source comes responsibility.

@Mark Fossen: Gamespot was messing with the release dates as i was sure that at the time of writing the information was correct, changed it though.

Your second ‘example’ is rubbish. The info we’ve given about the patch was ’subject to change’ as was stated in the article. Besides that, the information was correct.

Come on … this was correct? http://www.xboxic.com/news/112

You grabbed a message board post that was spammed across multiple boards, and didn’t even try to verify it. Even a quick check for the people named, or the existence of this ‘IGN Blog” would have proved it was a fake. You went ahead, never checked it, never retracted it, and took in all the hits.

Hey - you want to be unreliable, more power to you. It generates lots of nice AdSense revenue, just ask sp0ng.

Mark: the article you mention isn’t tagged “Rumors” for nothing. When we post an article we state the source and reliability. Source was given, fact that it was a loose rumor was given. I’ll admit that specific article could’ve had a bit more research put into it, but our main focus is to provide our readers with all information on everything Xbox. If there’s a rumor floating around, our readers have a right to know, and we’ll peg it as Rumor so they know we’re not guaranteeing anything.

As for Adsense revenue, it’s one of our less popular articles with 600 pageviews so far, which equals about $0.50 income. We’re nowhere near paying a professional fulltime editor team yet ;)

WTF are you bitching about anyways??? Afterall, it’s just a friggin video game, and it’s coming out soon. Jesus christ, really you should take a look at what the hell you are truely bitching about and see that it’s not that big of an issue. Terrorists attacking us again is a pretty damn important one, perhaps you should divert your concern there instead. Is it coming out the 3rd? the 7th? the 9th? Who gives a damn, it’s coming out regardless and I’m buying it.
