Dead batteries? Not anymore.

Have you not found a rechargeable solution for your 360’s wireless controllers yet? If the Quick Charge Kit or Play and Charge Kit weren’t to your liking, there might now be a new alternative; USB Batteries.

Named the USBCELL, these batteries can be used as normal and then recharged simply by plugging them into a USB port.

Although these batteries will work with anything, the manufacturer is marketing them with the sales pitch Easily charge cells in your game station and just swap over to continue play. With that said, remember to get two sets of these batteries. You’ll need a second pair whilst the first recharges, God forbid you should run out before delivering that fatal last hadouken!

These things SUCK!

They are 1300 mah, take 7 hours to charge via usb, and cost 13 pounds (about 20 us dollars) a pair!

God forbid you are out of usb slots, because their charger is even more expensive. I’d say to stick to play and charge, quick charge, or just some nice 2500 mah nimh batteries, as all of those options charge faster, last longer and cost less.

I like the idea, but it’s only good for people without a recharger. I bought dollar-store rechargeables and they are working fine.

Maybe these batteries are the true origin of the love child known as wii60

So the batteries cause your 360 to glow red then?

They give you the red light of death…. so I better stick with my play’n charge kit

I hate the red ring of death ive seen it 6 time already. i’m on my 6th xbox 360 since it came out november 21 2005 so i think i’ll stick with my play n charge kit.

Hi, there is a replacement correct photo available on the site. The stills photographer didn’t plug in the AV cables, so it gave the red-light by mistake.

FYI: The Play and Charge kit is actually just two standard NiMH rechargable batteries sealed in plastic, with a long cable attached to it.
