Sony competition: Win an XBOX 360!
It seems not even Sony can get their hands on a PS3 at the moment, let alone the whole of Europe, since, in a bizarre turn, Sony BMG are running a competition that ties in with the release of the not so hotly anticpated album of Jessica Simpson.
You wouldn’t say no, would you. To having the album I mean…
To “win” this 360, all you have to do is simply fill in a form at the website with all your details, and you are entered into the draw. Simple as that. It is an amusing take on the 360/PS3 battle. Why is a PSP not on offer at the very least?! Sometimes, companies just forget all about loyalty for the sake of promotion. And what would be the chances of getting the three red lights? Maybe THAT’S the reason they are being given away. A clever ploy to dirty the name of Microsoft!
Anyway, if you are at all interested in Jessica Simpson’s album, then enter here.
The album is already available in the US, Japan and Australia, but UK fans will have to wait until the 29th of January 2007 to get their hands on the album (art). A video can also be found on the Xbox Live Marketplace to the song “A Public Affair” (also the name of the album), if anyone hasn’t already downloaded it. If you haven’t, I really wouldn’t bother, it’s nothing special.

lol…i found it interesting the Jessica Simpson was on the AOTM program anyway with her coming from Sony BMG….which leads me to another question - Is Epic records a devision of Sony BMG? as I thought the AOTM program was hosted by Epic Records

“Sony BMG” isn’t really Sony, its a joint venture between BMG and Sony Music 50% for each. While Sony does own Sony Music (the 50% Sony portion of Sony BMG) I doubt that a lot of what Sony BMG does makes it to the heads of Sony itself. Please do some homework before making outlandish claims like ‘Sony is giving away a 360.’ Just because something has Sony in its name doesn’t mean SCEA and it are the same thing.

Gee, no I didn’t, I simply said to say that this is Sony itself who is giving away this ps3 is rediculously ludicrous as Sony BMG != Sony. 1/2 of Sony BMG is owned by Sony not all of it. And as for fanboy thats rich i just bought my 20th 360 title, do you own 20 360 titles? and a second job for a ps3 game? Activison is releasing their titles for $60 and every retailer on the planet has every other title listed as such, just like 360. And if you want to talk about the $50 first party price point that is now defunct as MS is going with $60 for forza 2 and for Gears of War (granted GoW is a 2nd party title but its still published by MS).

Sony and BMG are a joint company, meaning that both BMG AND Sony must of had a joint deal to do this competition. Meaning Sony must of had something to do with it.
I’m not defending th ps3, I am just pointing out factual errors in the original article. Sony BMG is a different entity from the part of Sony that is doing the ps3. Have you ever seen the CEO of Sony Corp talk about the ps3? No, you haven’t the highest person that has talked about the ps3 is Ken Kutaragi, CEO of SCE. Which is its own company and is subsidized by Sony Corp, much like Sony BMG. Thats the way Sony as a company works, now I am not saying this is a good way to work, personally I think there should be some kind of allegence there. But the fact is Sony is made up of many different companies that are all under the Sony brand but in reality have no real relationship with each other, thats how a conglomerate opperates, and Sony is just that. Sony BMG doesn’t mean the Ken Kutaragi said ‘yeah lets give away a 360′ like this post leans towards alluding to. And that is all I am saying, SCE != Sony BMG.

Who ever once said Ken Kutaragi was promoting this competition? No-one. It states that Sony are doing the competition. No matter how you altar the wording, or state that it isn’t Sony, you can’t change the fact that IT IS SONY doing the competition!
Actually the CEO of Sony has　commented on the PS3 you douchebag. Sir Howard Stringer has had many an interviews regarding the PS3.

I dont see this being big news at all. I think some of you are taking this too far it really doesnt mean anything other than a promotion to get people to want to win or take notice. That one console is nothing to MS or Sony. MS needs to worry about there world wide and now even US sales numbers if anything along with that RROD.
