Guitar Hero II definitely wailing on the Xbox 360
We reported last Wednesday that Guitar Hero II was on its way to the multiple consoles rather than ending up a PS2 exclusive like its predecessor, though Xbox 360 was never specifically mentioned. According to an Activision X06 press release, it is now.
Additionally, RedOctane® announced today that Guitar Hero II™ will be rocking Xbox 360™. Guitar Hero II is the follow-up to 2005’s award-winning release, Guitar Hero, which rocked the game industry and garnered a stack of awards including: “Best Offline Multiplayer Game 2005” and “Music Game of the Year 2005” from IGN.com, “Best Soundtrack 2005” at the Spike TV Videogames Awards and five D.I.C.E. awards, including Outstanding Innovation in Gaming and Family Game of the Year.
The game will feature an all-new controller specifically designed for the Xbox 360 called the X-Plorer, based on the famous Gibson Explorer rock/metal guitar; and as should be with all 360 titles, downloadable content. Guitar Hero II should have some things shown at X06, which is going on right now (if you just came out of your cave and weren’t aware.)

Uh if that is true that image is probably no mockup: the Gibson Explorer is one of the most legendary rock/metal guitars

yeah I wanted to get an ESP JH-2 (mass produced James Hetfield explorer) but it was discontinued due to Gibson law suits (body was cut to the specs of a Gibson, as per James specs)…and I think it was around 2 grand, my Gibson goth explorer was 1,200 that was bad enough, but its worth it to have played shows with that baby and know that the metal gods are up on mount trash smiling down upon me 8D
when i think of metallica it makes me have shoot my brains out. metallica sucks. if you really pay attention you can hear the sounds of old farts vomiting uncontrollably. ps: they suck!

ibet 360 version will cost 100 dollars cause ps2 one costed 70 and 360 games are worth more i hope its the same as ps2 price or ill go on ebay

those fret buttons look childish
hey everyone… the buttons are colored because in the game the fret board has matching colors… i have it for ps2…. and they are make 2 different versions… one with wire and without…. and for the lefties there is a way to make it so you can play left handed so ya…. that solves that problem… i hope they make the X-plorer for the ps2 also… i love explorers… but i have the warlock one… so ya… hope that helps everyone
