Once you get the hang of it, it gets really addictive. Trying to pull off bigger block combos and so on.. The games great.

I don’t get it… I like most arcade games but this one is really boring, why are/were people raving about it? I wouldn’t even spend 200 microsoft points on the complete package.

I love the small minigames such as Puzzles and Missions. Just really upset that I only get a demo of these game modes!
Could it be that why the extra packages is not available yet, is because they want to check the consumers reactions when they find out that they have to pay again to have this?

TBH.. the game rocks.. I loved it on my psp and since I sold the PSP I want Lumines again.. The single player mission to me is the game.. I dont mind not having the other addon’s.. I wanted the game for the Single player and thats what I got. I am most likely going to buy the new skins becuase thats just me.. but the game rocks.

If I could have my money back I would.
I find the game really good, but I’m just not going for this. I payed full price and I expect a full game, not a demo of the fun modes available. This is the most embarresing sales tactic I have ever experienced. I’m not buying any more games on Marketplace, and I wish you wouldn’t either. Maybe then MS and the greedy publishers will see they have gone too far.

The first reason is obvious, but your second reason is garbage. Its an attempt to milk owners. Disguise it up as a way to beat the 50 MB download limit all you like, but its still just a crap way to milk a popular franchise.

The worst thing about all of this is Microsoft led us to believe we were getting the full game and the extras were themes and skins. I assumed when they said FULL game, I was getting that. Not a glorified demo. Not a large hunk of the game for half the cost. Hell, they should have just offered it as a cheap retail disc for $40. Atleast we wouldn’t be moaning so much.

Man, I get more gameplay and hours of fun out of Geometry Wars trial than out of this piece of crap. I payed for a game, not 5 levels. Basically I just bought a demo. It’s an incredible game nonetheless and am a big fan of the psp version, but they are obviously after our precious money. Probably Q Entertainment needs to money to compensate for the horrible reviews and low sales it has been receiving from N3 (Ninety-Nine Nights).

I think that is the main problem. I think the developers should absolutel with no exceptions follow the 50mb size limit, and splitting the game up should not be allowed. Either release the game under 50 megs or dont release it at all.

Just so you know, the 600mp Advance pack unlocks the Advance mode in Challenge. there are 2 other packs that I see. One is a Combo of both the Mission and Puzzle Modes (Probably the most worthy of your points), the other is for vs CPU, which probably will be a bit expensive.

You should have figured this out by now, but there are 2 reasons why the game has been released like this. Firstly, it is to get more revenue from the game, and yes, the game is relatively new compared to say Scramble or Pac Man. Secondly it is a way to beat the 50MB XBLA limit. Note, that the game eats 50.61MB of space, the extra packs will eat up further space of which I am certain.

Man, I am pissed, I know everyione’s been saying it; Microsoft is basically stealing. What is the Dif if I go to the city and a guy sells me a watch or I buy a game that isn’t there. I will be contacting Microsoft in the morning to get a refund. I would suggest anyone else that reads this, DO THE SAME. If they get enough complaints at least maybe they will warn other casual potential buyers. That was really wrong and Microsoft needs to know it. I really feel sorry for anyone thats bought it already. It’s not the price I’m complaining aboutr, but I didnt know that it wasnt the full game. Complete and UTTER BULL!!! Be Warned.

well it is a good game. Give it a try, without the extra packs its still cheaper than any other console. Your gonna start to notice that good games or new games are gonna cost alot more than old retro titles.

To be honest single player mission and vs XBLive are the game modes i want and thats enough. I’m not that bothered about having a has been pop star grandmar parading around in lycra in the background….it will only put me off seeing thoose bingo wings flappin about.
