PSU Beta extended
Most of you probably know by now, since you’ve probably all been playing it today, but the Beta for Phantasy Star Universe has been officially extended. You now have up to the 21st of October to Beta test the game.
This news would have been posted yesterday, had I of learnt Japanese at school and thus been able to read the announcements. Unfortunately, the only way to confirm was to log on to the game today. Except I deleted it, thinking I would never need it again. Eventually, this forum topic was brought to my attention, and effectively confirmed it. (This site also had it up, but no source.)
According to the site, the extended time was because the servers went down for maintainence, and Xbox Live had downtime, AND the initial delay. Coupled together, it makes for a very short Beta test. Their server maintainence apparently increased the number of players that were allowed online at any one time. I wish they had announced this earlier, because I never got to play the game, as there was never any room. Oh well, never mind, saves me some money as I won’t be buying the full game.

Once I finally got into the server the other day I was far from impressed in this game. Plus I don’t care how good it is I am not paying a monthly fee after I buy the game. I don’t care if they update it frequently, or decorate it with chocolate kisses I am not paying a monthly fee.

No, I won’t pay monthly fee’s either. I don’t agree with it. I’ve payed my XBL subscription for the year and I’ve brought the game.

yeah i deleted the demo too. I was thankful I got to play it which opened my eyes to the idea of NOT getting this crap…

Same here I deleted the demo on Tuesday. The few hours of play I got in last Friday was enough to know I wouldn’t be buying this game.
I still haven’t managed to get on to a server yet! But judging by the comments of others, it may not be worth the effort anyway.

Play it for yourself, and judge then. I personally love it; I loved the first one, and this one is greater than that by about 20 times.
If you can’t get onto the server, disconnect, hang out for a bit (let the opening move play), then try connecting again. It’s worked for me the 5/6 times I’ve tried.
Of course, I could just be lucky. ;P
Awsome Game! No problems joining, only once five minutes trying and online. Dont listen to these impatient fools. A few hours of this game and you will totally dig it.
