Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on XBLA briefly… and back for good
Oops, what happened to XBLA Wednesdays? For a brief second, Xbox Live users were able to download Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 at 43.62MB for the nice price of 800 Microsoft points, and then it disappeared into oblivion.
IGN were quick to spot the game in their download list, and even quicker to report on it. They had to update their post soon after though, as the game had mysteriously been removed from XBLA right away. Meanwhile Gamespot forum members had also found their way to the game, and we also have people in our own forums that have snatched it. See the Gamercard signature for solid proof.
Considering Microsoft’s policy on Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays, I’d guess someone just got fired and we end up having pretty solid confirmation on next week’s XBLA release. Anyone care to join in the guess game? Hint: it begins with a U and it features 2-4 player multiplayer.
Update: some 8 hours after the original mistake the game landed on Marketplace for good.

I was one of the lucky few and it’s as awesome as I remember it from back in the day.
Funny thing is that it looks like you can select every character in arcade mode. No restrictions. Couldn’t make a win though (it’s harder then I remember :()so maybe you can only play one or two rounds before the trial ends. Have to check it tomorrow..
Btw: It seems to have the same problem as SFII as for the controls. Couldn’t get a decent move out of it with the stick. Had to use the pad which isn’t ‘all that’ if you know what I mean

i downloaded this game its like street fighter hard to control id rather break out my old snes:)

PS Street fighter is tough so if someone said it was like it then we’re in for a challenge .would be cool if some of us got to download the full game.

I grabbed the game this morning. Anytime you start the game, you get disconnected from Live and can’t sign back in until you quit the game. They need to fix this ASAP.
