GRAW2 announced, Brothers in Arms 3 and Assassin’s Creed delayed

Ubisoft released their quarterly earnings today and our Dutch friends over at Xboxworld.nl discovered some interesting stuff. Assassin’s Creed and Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway have both been pushed back to the next financial year and both will probably be released in the third or fourth quarter of 2007. Xboxworld also tells that we’ll be seeing a Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter sequel in the first half of 2007, the time frame that Assassin’s Creed and Brothers in Arms 3 were original set for.

Ubisoft

There’s no word on any of the titles that leaked via Ubi’s FTP a month ago. For those interested in finances; Ubisoft did 25% better than expected in the first half of 2006, earning 274 million euros. Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter sold 2.4 million copies and the downloadable mission pack sold 150,000 times since its release. Ubisoft is bound to do even better in the second half with huge games such as Rainbow Six: Vegas and Splinter Cell: Double Agent for Xbox 360 and games like Red Steel and Rayman Raving Rabbids for Nintendo Wii. Maybe they can buy a higher framerate for Rainbow Six: Vegas and Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter with all that money they’re making.

Pretty remarkable that GRAW 2 wasn’t mentioned
in the zip file that was on the ftp site of Ubisoft.

If the game comes out in the first quarter of 2007, it probably means that it uses a lot of the same resources as GRAW 1.

I would rather see Assassin’s Creed than GRAW2!

Q3 or Q4 NEXT YEAR?!?!?

So this game, which was once a PS3 Launch Exclusive, then a multi port March 2007 release, is now a 3rd or 4th quarter 2007 title.

Sorry Jade, this comes after Halo 3 - I won’t be around by then in all likelihood. “Next-Gen” is really starting to smell like a leather chair in a conference room after a bunch of CEOs have had lunch in it.

Between EA’s new bout of stupidity, Lumines Lease spin articles, and now this, I should have just stayed in bed today.

Can we at least have the X06 build on XBL now? Since it will be like a YEAR now before this hits retail.

I just close my eyes and keep telling myself, “Capcom puts out LP in January”. Because that will be my new Spring title now I guess.

It was fun to believe…

GRAW is one of the best games on 360, definatly justifed its winning of the best game of the yera at the 1st annual BAFTA awards.

Just hope they dont have as many bugs when they release GRAW 2 ^ ^

AC beeing delayed is a very good thing, no matter how you look at it. 6 months more development time will do this game (and it’s buyers) a HUGE favor.

So many so called “next-gen” games that came with impressive promises and cool ideas were rushed to the market and suffered badly from it. Kudos to UBI for pushing back such a highly anticipated title and investing the additional time to get it right instead of overhyping it.

That sucks Sonys’ balls. Oh’ well more time = better games !!!!

lol so we’ll have halo and AC both on the 360 around the time the ps3 gets ac lol go figure

so apparently the 360 is treating ubisoft pretty darn good :)

If you want good next gen games then you have to wait so get over it.

Im fed of people kicking off because a game has been delayed or a game has been released and its not quite complete.

I wish developers would just not give any release dates at all so it would shut some of you bitch ass moaners up.

I totally agree with you!!!

See this: “If the game comes out in the first quarter of 2007, it probably means that it uses a lot of the same resources as GRAW 1″.

You got to be kidding me! What do you know about developing a game?! It´s only words in the air…nothing else…

Shut your mouth up and WAIT!

Hugs!
