New maps included in PDZ Platinum
Coming November, MS are releasing the “Classics” range that offers big selling games at a bargain price. Perfect Dark Zero is included in the launch of this range, and it comes with some nice bonuses. Included in the game are six maps, for free.
The first four maps included are those from Map Pack One, already available on the Marketplace for 500MS Points. The last two maps are extra special. Facility and Ruin, two of the most popular maps on the original version, will also be included, with the obvious touch up here and there. Anyone that loved the original Perfect Dark will have fond memories when they boot these up again. The maps will be released on the Marketplace in November, but pricing details currently aren’t mentioned.
The pricing is still yet to be set for the new range, and it seems the name isn’t either. From IGN:
Perfect Dark Zero has sold more than one million copies. In Early November, Microsoft celebrates with the release Perfect Dark Zero Platinum Hits Edition.
So does this mean that there is going to be the Classic version, a Platinum version and the original version all available to buy? That will confuse Gran at Christmas. Either that, or MS listened to the fact that the Classic packaging looks bloody awful, and dominates the box far too much. Perhaps they quite like the name of Sony’s budget range and decided to copy it? Who knows!

Is that the name of the range though…
The pricing of the range also hasn’t been mentioned, but expect retailers to have them at the same price as any other: £19.99. This is assuming the range goes on sale for $19.99, because when comparing the PS2 Platinum range, all their games are £20 or less.
Finally, there is also an auto-update coming as well, which apparently fixes a known glitch where people go to cover, but end up in the walls and all over the place across the map. This will soon be fixed.

cool free maps!….i dont really like the cover of the case though….ewwwww
Sounds nice. Most of Rare’s games are classics.
This has been out in the UK for a few weeks, now.
I haven’t heard anything about the box art or the new maps, though.
£22 thats how much Tesco are selling for, damn I wish I wasn’t so broke right now
I’ve seen those classic titles for a while now in the shops here. Condemned, PDZ, Kameo and another one which I don’t remember the name of.
isn’t the platinum hits collection what they call it in America - or am I just imagining that?
I thought the platinum range was PS?!
reads the rest of article, yes I’m still half awake¬_¬
man i payed for those maps 5 monthes ago
If they are already out, I apologise. I’m yet to see any in the UK. Perhaps it’s because I don’t go to highstreet stores very much anymore!
The FREE maps coming on marketplace soon will be retouched up levels from the N64 Goldeneye game, HOORAY!!!!
got this today very impressed definitely had the best graphics of all launch titles.
Cool! I might have to get back into PDZ again just for the “new” maps.
I have had it since launch, but I just aint bothered with it much AT ALL - because that womans voice that talks through out everything winds me up big-time!
I tried to sell this game back (the collectors edition)
they offered me 5$ :/
Wow. Rare is stupid. These new maps and patch are coming out like 3 months later than they should have. No one is going to play this game now because Gears of War and a bunch of other games are coming out. Too bad Rare didn’t come out with this stuff earlier. It’s too late now.
The 2 other maps are available now - for free
