hey glovner You say you enjoy Fifa more than PES. Aren’t you annoyed by the jaggy movement of the player? a ship turns faster than a player does on Fifa. Also the passes are soooooooo slow you can take a walk drink some coffe and the ball won’t have reached it’s target yet. The animations are stupid and the faces of the players(while they are tying to do a great job) look like freaks. PES has much more recognisable figures. Also what’s up with the goal nets? if you score a goal the ball gets stuck on the net and there little to no net movement? Have you noticed PES when you score a goal? If the shot is strong the ball will bounce off the net and come back out which is ABSOLUTELY REALISTIC AND OH SO SATYSFYING. THE only thing FIFA has better than PES is the stadium and ball graphics. I agree that this is a sliced version of PES lacking replay saves(very negative) and edit mode but still PES leaves you with a burning sensation everytime you play it with a friend. It’s not a coincidence that 80% of the world prefers PES than FIFA, and also that footbal is called FOOTBALL and not soccer. 80% of the world’s population call it football because you play the BALL with your FOOT, and you only see Americans call it soccer because they already call AMERICAN FOOTBALL a sport which is mainly played with their hands. Americans are the only ones calling football “soccer” and claiming that FIFA is better than PES. You wanted facts..

I got PES 6 before FIFA07, infact i got FIFA07 2 days ago. PES 6 offers much more than FIFA in terms of gameplay, the only thing i like about FIFA is full licensing, thats it. When PES5 was out i played FIFA06 just because PES5 was way too slow!

Still for me, PES!

It all comes down to a matter of taste. Do you like the fast paced, almost arcady, feel of FIFA (wich I certainly enjoy) or do you like the slower, and with it more realistic, feel of PES (wich I enjoy, from time to time). Thank God that these two games are different. What would it be like if you’d have exactly the same football games. That would suck, wouldn’t it?

I’ve always preferred FIFAS, but I’ve just got PES for the PC so I’m gonna give it a go. I’m put off by The_Glover saying PES is slow, pace is essential in football games IMO.

FIFA is great … if you’ve only played FIFA and haven’t spent enough time getting to know PES. Once you do, you can’t possibly go back to EA’s crappernaut. While FIFA has the licenses and flashy looks, PES has the depth to go the distance. Its pace may be slower (more realistic), but the player response in FIFA - the thing that really matters - is unforgivably poor.

Real football fans who know the game play PES. End of story.

PES is the thinking mans football game. Fifa is a poor mans version of PES.

I can’t believe people actually, well i can, buy and cheer on EA games considering all the crap we have to put up with. C’mon guys. Your giving Ea want they want and they won’t improve their games until we stop buying them.

Support the cause and don’t buy EA games!!!

i like them both but fifa just takes it for me and it runs better online and thats all i play.

Professional footballers only use one game when they aren’t training?!?! So sorry to dissapoint but given the average IQ of professional footballers I won’t be using one as my role model anytime soon so if you want to be a mindless sheep fire in pal.

Fifa will never amoutn to anything that PES has on gameplay. PES4!! is still better then Fifa07.

PES has no rival game to compete against since Fifa is just a game out to make EA some money.. not innovatin gthe game we love!

At the end of the day I used to prefer PES, wasn’t sure with this release so I bought and played both.

FIFA IMO was the better of the two so PES went back to the shop.

So while I am enjoying my football experience online, you can all enjoy your one player realistic football.

I just posted on the forum about the same thing. Yes PES is slower than FIFA. Yes it’s also more intricate. Does that mean FIFA’s better? Not necessarily…

I agree that FIFA is easier to pick up (I want to say “more arcadey” but you’ll take that as an insult), but PES is so much more like playing actual football.

PES is to slow to be any fun for anyone that isn’t over 80. And if you are over 80 you won’t enjoy it as you arthiritic fingers won’t be able to smash the 6 different button presses required to kick the ball in the general vicinity of the goal.

PES = Shite

FIFA = Quality football.

The charts and everybody else is wrong. Backed up by the fact that I am always right.
