The galactica game brings an experience that is out of this world!

R6V available on the Marketplace

At long last, if you didn’t want to buy the Official Xbox Magazine, Americans can now download the single player demo of Rainbow Six Vegas, the demo everyone else has been enjoying for over a week.

We previously reported that gamers over in the US would have to wait a tad longer than Europe, since it was being released as a playable demo on OXM US. It’s now there for all to download, and I highly recommend you do. The demo is brilliant, and it is not finished code, so don’t worry too much about the frame drops just yet. If you liked GR:AW, you really will love this!

The game is officially released on the 17th of November in Europe, and the 7th of November for the US. This game also features the awesome face mapping. Should any of you have forgotton that, check here to see it in action, and all the other customiseable stuff you get! It looks great! There is also no word on a multiplayer demo being released yet.

Thanks to Keaton for the pointer.

I’m still wondering why the hell it took them all this time to put it in US marketplace.

Nonetheless, congrats.

It’s probably because
1) It’s in the oxm issue
2) Why not give europe the demo early, since they get the actual game later?

I got it through a Europe account too. Well worth the download IMO.

I tried creating a Europe account and everything last week, Account creation went fine, and the R6V showed up in the marketplace, but it wouldn’t let me download it, just kept stopping after about 30 seconds. I had 2 gigs of HD space free too, so that wasn’t a problem.

Finally got the demo today though, and it was pretty good. Nice crisp graphics, good gameplay, no framerate issues. Probably better single player than GRAW IMO. Might buy it depending on how much GoW takes of my time.

lol is this really something to brag so much about. Guess what, we’ll be playing the FULL game a week before you guys, instead of one demo over over over.

I win..

this games kicks ass!!!….got to the u.s alittle late though…..but still….the game kicks ass!!…OMG!…GoW next week!!!….yesssssss!!!

This demo is excellent :) I’m not great at it, but the gameplay is great :)

Rainbow Six: Vegas is definitely a good game. I was pretty excited about it, the graphics and environment really attracted me in but sadly the gameplay was a little off what I thought it would be.

The game mimmicks Gears of War a lot, in the sense that Cover ‘N’ Run is used very often. The extra features such as repelling, breaking in and taking down enemies is great, but I doubt it will be used more than a handful of times. I think the creative gameplay will be overshadowed by lack of innovative ideas on the Developers part, particularly since this game made me feel like another S.W.A.T. 4 expansion.

I don’t mean to knock the game, it is great so far (despite the aformentioned heavy framedrops that I hope get fixed in the final version) but I was expecting more from this largely hyped game.
