More Halo 3 scans, GameStop now taking preorders
Remember the last set of Halo 3 scans we posted? Well, in the latest issue of the magazine Famitsu Weekly, there are three pages of new Halo 3 scans. The three pages of scans are all after the jump. Also, GameStop America are now taking pre-orders for the Regular Edition, the Collector’s Edition, and the expensive Legendary Edition.
These scans look pretty impressive! They also look as if most, if not all, of the pictures are from the multiplayer mode. I think this since in the first scan, it is clear to see that they are playing a game of Capture the Flag. Worth noting is that if you look at the left hand side of the second scan, you can see a new weapon. If you look on the right hand side of that same scan, you can see a new vehicle. Finally, note that in the bottom right hand corner of the third scan, you can see the Legendary Edition.
Still on the subject of Halo 3, GameStop America is now taking pre-orders on the Regular Halo 3 Edition, the Collector’s Edition and the Legendary Edition. To pre-order the Regular Edition, it will cost you $5 minimum, the Collector’s Edition will cost you $10 minimum and the Legendary Edition will cost you $25 minimum. Just to mention, GameStop are saying on their website that the Legendary Edition of Halo 3 will knock you back $99.99. As previously reported, the Legendary Edition will made up of 4 discs. The first will obviously be the game, the second will be documentaries and the guys from Bungie talking about Halo 3, the third disc will be Halo spin-offs such as Red vs. Blue and the fourth and final disc will be cut scenes from Halo 1, 2 and 3 in HD. While this is very impressive, I still think that $99.99 is just too much to pay for it.

Waste of money to pay for the legendary, get most of that stuff to watch on the internet for free.

You know you really cant understand halo especially hidef halo in 720p with screenshots or even scans lol… i mean they said the detail in the original HD trailer was just the beginning of how detailed the game was… in SS and Scans we loose all those suttle details and beauty i cant wait to see an updated trailer or video… but darn it probably gotta wait for next year LOL

anyone notice in the first scan on the very large picture that he has a knife on his right leg?
Yeah, I noticed that as well. Also, from the previous scans and these as well, I’ve noticed that there is no strap around their shoulders to hold the secondary weapons. My guess is that they stay on magnetically.

I cannot see that it’s the M6D pistol. Maybe I’m blind, but that does not look like a pistol at all. It does look like a knife to me though. Also, it probably is concept art but why would they put something in there that’s not actually going to be in the game?
What knifes are you using that give off a rounded light glare/sheen. I looks like the top of the M6D pistol to me. Guess I’m the only one that sees it.
I see it. I have compared it to my M6D that goes w/my action figures and they look the same
IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED… This build of the game was from a ALPHA BUILD of Halo 3’s multiplayer session… they said this in no way really shows what the final builds will look like or even the betas.
Looks like where getting the original Assualt rifle back and the Battle rifle from halo 2
It’d be nice if the players’ visors had reflections in multiplayer games like master chief in the single player game…
It’s not the assault rifle, it’s an assault/battle hybrid.

The real question should be: Why in the first scan is that spartan holding 3 (YEAH, 3) weapons when you’ve only had 2 in both previous halo games?
