Major Nelson celebrates podcast #200
We’d like to congratulate our favorite Microsoft employee with the 200th anniversary of his podcast. Larry has been providing the Xbox community with inside info and fun podcasts for almost 2 years and to celebrate his 200th one he went all out with a 2 hour long show featuring interviews with Bioshock’s lead designer Ken Levine, Megadeth singer Dave Mustaine, Jeremy Ludes from TreyArch, XBLA manager Greg Canessa, Aaron LeMay from the Saints Row team and much more.
For more Major Nelson stuff checkout this short interview we did with him during the Games Convention in Leipzig. Be sure to head over to his blog to congratulate him, he (and his ego) love that.

Great picture Nelsy
cool guy i really hope he touches on the divx issue and the update… not to mention clan support and vid conferencing or shall i say the lack there of.
larry is a machine. he tells you what m$ wants you to hear. he pretends to be a concerned gamer, but he is a walking talking sell-out p.r. line. why would any self respecting individual listen to what he has to say?

So how about you provide is with information about upcoming Marketplace events and such then?
how about we get some info from nelson that isn’t wrong or a straight up lie. just because i don’t provide info, doesn’t mean he does.
- mu
all right, that was overly harsh, but i do feel as though he is a tool.

Well my comment was pre-empted by the picture tooltip
Still one of the most useful insiders we have, it’s pretty standard MS practice to have some staff blogging to keep the public informed during ongoing development, as noted on the forums with the Zune and also with Vista. The only surprise is, Major’s the only one who really does it for Xbox.
A shame that the comments on his website just generally degenerate into silly slanging matches between people who are too stupid to know where to voice their concerns, although it seems to be more under control these days.
And I just realised that I’ve actually never listened to any of his podcasts
I’m going to listen to #200 on my way to work tomorrow, normally it’s only a 45-minute drive but the traffic was pretty bad today and it took nearly 3 hours. This’ll be a good time-filler.
yo studley, i think i know where you can go to voice your concerns. and i am simply voicing my damn opinion about the “major.” enjoy your podcast.

yo studley, sorry, i thought you were calling me and my opinion stupid. i misread your post… sorry…
