Contra available now [Updated]
Contra has just been made available for you to purchase on the Xbox Live Arcade, and will set you back 400MS Points for the pleasure of taking a trip back in time.
Update: The game is now up on the Xbox Live Marketplace at 32.46MB, so go and download and have some fun!
In the mean time, why not play some Mortal Kombat to vent your anger, go and finish him! Or you can read up on exactly what Contra is here, for those of you too young to remember the game. Obviously there will be a demo version to try, but it’s nice to take a walk through Memory Lane and refresh yourself on the game!
The game features High Definition graphics (apparently), and a two player Live mode for Co-op beauty! When this eventually starts appearing, I’ll be sure to let you all know.

I thought I recognised this game. I used to play it back on the amstrad CPC464 way back when. Never did manage to beat that first boss. Somehow I have done now. Is the game easier than I remember or have I just gotten better.
It really hasn’t dated very well, i always used to love this game now it’s just way way to easy and simple gameplay mechanics don’t help it either. Oh well here’s hoping Worms will be the next release as i know that will NEVER date.

Downloaded this before work and played a little. I only played the NES version back in the days so some of the game is different. It’s still pretty fun though.
