They did not say anything about using store bought points on fake accounts to buy stuff. At least I haven’t seen any hard evidence of them saying you cannot do this anymore. All they say is about the credit card verification thing and they even HINT that they won’t touch accounts with active subscriptions/points or whatnot.

So if you buy your M$ points at Amazon or EB whatever place you prefer and use them on your american account you should still be able to purchase content.

Please note, I said *SHOULD*. There is no guarantee for that but right now it sounds as if this option would still work and will continue to work.
