Some of you have already seen the forum post, but Kasabian has reached the Marketplace in a move that looks as if Microsoft plan on releasing more music videos via the service. The videos do cost though, despite the ability to watch them on satellite TV for free. But if you love Kasabian, then this may be perfect for you.

The following seven songs are now available, with their display resolution, size and cost:

• Cutt Off (480p); 230 MS Points; 37.09MB
• Lost Souls (480p); 230 MS Points; 41.46MB
• Reason is Treason (480p); 230 MS Points; 39.87MB
• Processed Beats (480p); 230 MS Points; 33.92MB
• Club Foot (480p); 230 MS Points; 39.75MB
• Empire (480p); 230 MS Points; 62.39MB
• Shoot the Runner (720p); 280 MS Points; 194.62MB

If you can’t find all of these, then it is because they are located under the heading “Music Showcase”, which seriously suggests as if more music videos will be coming to the Marketplace at a premium rate. This doesn’t bother me in the slightest, because if I wanted one of the videos, I’d just download it from a free source elsewhere, rather than paying a fee (as small as it may be). If this is the way Microsoft want to go, could they at least open up the music to more than a couple of genres, since we don’t all like the same thing.

This isn’t the first time a music video is asking for your Points before downloading. “Dance4Life”, performed by DJ Tiësto and Maxi Jazz, takes that title. I’ve personally never heard of either of those two artists, but I’m sure some of you have. The whole point of music video “Dance4Life” was to promote Dance4Life, a charity set up for HIV/AIDS. Again, I’ve never heard of this, and if you’re like me then I suggest you head over to the official website and read about the good cause that the money from Live is going to. The video is downloadable for 150 MS Points.

Both Kasabian and Dance4Life do not feature on the US Marketplace, so if you’re frantically trying to find the videos and can’t: that’s why. And I can’t recommend either of these for downloading since I haven’t done so myself, so you’ll have to take the risk!
