Resident Evil 5 details
German website Gamefront appears to have read the latest issue of Famitsu magazine quite thoroughly and found a bit of news about Resident Evil 5. Capcom started working on this title right after they completed its predecessor and since then we’ve only seen a cool looking CGI movie.
It’s still not a big pile of information but something’s better than nothing right? RE 5’s producer Jun Takeuchi said that the game would probably be released somewhere in 2008, but please, notice the probably because it’s not the first time a Resident Evil game has been delayed. But even if it gets released in 2008, the worst case scenario is that it’s still 2 years away. The developers are aiming for a 60fps game which translates into very fluent graphics just like in Lost Planet, another Capcom game.
The engine for the game will make it possible to give the characters very realistic facial expressions and animations. Not only will their faces look good, they’re also putting effort in modeling each strand of hair from root to tip. Developer Konami always used promotional hair talk for Metal Gear Solid 4 and the Playstation 3 but it seems that the Xbox 360 is capable of realistic hair as well. Interactive environments which were introduced in Resident Evil 4 will be even more interactive this time around, and hot and cold temperatures are going to play a role in this. The surroundings will also affect the stability of your character, depending on whether it is hot or cold.
I really can’t wait for this game, since the moment I completed Resident Evil 4 for the third time I’m dying to get more information about RE5. Now I have more information and I’m still not satisfied.

you’ve only beaten it 3 times??!?!? i’m on number 6! i’ve got the chicago typewriter and the infinite launcher, the game has become a bit easy. i’m really excited to get some RE action on my 360!

Resi 4 was one of the greatest games of all time. Looking forward to Resi 5 more than most other titles. Resi 5 WILL rock!!

yeah whatever. resident evil is great but scrww this 2 year bs. im moving on and ill worry about it in 08. but since it is capcom and the way resident evil works with them you will be lucky to have it by 2009 or 2010. they are focusing on that crap of lost planet(they can keep it)they are like blizzard, super slow constipated shit speed with suspended animation. its like 1 person programming it.
You’d rather EA/Ubi-style yearly updates with a few tiny changes then, aye?

The only R.E (Codename Veronica) I’ve played was on the Dreamcast. If it’s as good as/or better then this is definitely something to look forward too.

I think the over the shoulder cam ís real cool and the weapon`s with laser are real cool. I hope resi5 is with the over the shoulder cam and laser weapons, too. Does anybody now an internetpage with more informations about resident evil 5???

RE games are gr8t. I’ve played every one of them that i can get my hands on and RE4 was the best except for ashley. I hate her. She can really ruin a game hehehe. RE5 looks awesome. Can’t wait to get my hands dirty with zombie blood

dude resident evil 4 is fricken awesome and is by far the best game that i have ever played in my whole entire 16 years of being alive…..but it duz have a few disadvantages like the fuckin zombie villager bastards have to be standing perfect before u can kick em’ or suffix em’ so i hope that ther is a better one on one combat thing and i think it would be kool if u could stand against a wall and lean around the corner to c wut is coming so u could shoot it or them while u had cover…..it would be the greatest game….period
