Price drops for EA games

Blowout!Last Christmas, I gave you some gift certificates but the very next day, you spent them all on expensive titles. This year, to save you from going broke, EA drops prices for a big part of their ‘06 lineup. Pardon my crappy Wham! parody but Game Invasion received a list from EA with some very interesting price drops for a lot of recent titles across all the major platforms.

  • ‘Battlefield 2: Modern Combat’
    Xbox 360 - Was: $49.99 New: $29.99
  • ‘Fight Night Round 3′
    Xbox 360 - Was: $59.99 New: $29.99
    Xbox - Was: $29.99 New: $19.99
  • ‘Madden NFL 07′
    Xbox 360 - Was: $59.99 New: $49.99
    Xbox - Was: $39.99 New: $29.99
  • ‘Madden NFL 07: Hall of Fame Edition’
    X360 - Was: $59.99 New: $49.99
  • ‘NHL 07′
    Xbox 360 - Was: $59.99 New: $49.99
  • ‘The Godfather: The Game’
    Xbox 360 - Was: $59.99 New: $39.99
    Xbox - Was: $29.99 New: $19.99
  • ‘Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth’
    Xbox 360 - Was: $49.99 New: $29.99
  • ‘Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07′
    Xbox 360 - Was: $59.99 New: $49.99
    Xbox - Was: $39.99 New: $29.99
  • ‘NASCAR 07′
    Xbox - Was: $39.99 New: $29.99
  • ‘FIFA Soccer 07′
    Xbox 360 - $59.99 New: $49.99
    Xbox - $39.99 New: $29.99
  • ‘NCAA Football 07′
    Xbox 360 - Was: $49.99 New: $39.99
    Xbox - Was: $39.99 New: $29.99

These are just the titles on Xbox and Xbox 360, head over to Nintendic and Playstatic for a list of games that dropped in price for those platforms. And remember kids, don’t spend the money you saved by these deals on stupid microtransactions, keep voting with your wallets.

Thanks for submitting Colby!

I wonder if I’ll even bother with these anyway, that’s if it’s even in Europe!

A few of them are decent games… I own 3 of them, and have been relatively pleased (nowhere near the level of pleasure I got from the late 1990’s versions, but it’ll have to suffice.

Hummm … perhaps the mutual unorganized boycott of EA titles is paying off. I will went one or try their demos but I am not buying.

You will probably find it translates to about £50 so we can get screwed again.

Well the $29.99 games convert to £15.52, the $39.99 games convert to £20.71, whilst the $49.99 games convert to £25.89.

Sadly, you can’t polish a turd, and I still won’t buy these games if they get knocked down over here.

I’ve been waiting for Fight Night to come down in price before picking it up, because as an after-pub game with your mates, you really can’t beat it, especially given that Pro Evo 6 is mince.

Fight Night probably the best value on that list, followed by The Godfather which is surprisingly good

Fight Night rocks… If you haven’t played it yet, get it now it’s cheap… Some of the best graphics on the 360…
