First Boom Boom Rocket screens

When we heard Boom Boom Rocket’s announcement yesterday we were all eager to find out what Bizarre Creations’ new XBLA title would look like. Luckily Xboxyde has the first 3 screenshots of what could be one of the bigger XBLA titles of this year.

Bizarre Creations was responsible for the best-selling Xbox Live Arcade launch title Geometry Wars. Boom Boom Rocket sounds really interesting on paper so far and the visuals don’t hurt either. Bizarre Creations is also developing an action title called The Club at the moment but it’s been a while since we last heard from that game. Expect Boom Boom Rocket on the Xbox Live Arcade somewhere this Spring and The Club sometime this year.

It looks remarkably like Fanatavision, a PS2 release game for those who don’t know, just hope it’s as good as that was.

the concept sounds like a cross between Rez and Every Extend. If so it will be a slice of fried gold.

With EA publishing it, I’ll just wait for Boom Boom Rocket 2008 which will be out in about August

Not with Microsoft’s certification process it wont.

Ah OK. It’ll be out in December, but it won’t actually work until February 08 ;)

I’ll admit that it looks interesting but with EA involved in publishing it I’m a little bit dubious.

EA publishing a Bizarre Creations development… again EA trying to get some good rep with a decent developers game.

Wouldn’t buy EA even if it was decent…

looks nice, bet start saving the gamerpoints, and then save a bit more - and then just a tad more for unlockables - but i reckon i’ll buy this one…

I wonder if EA knows/cares they have pissed off the community this much?

You can bet that they know and you can also bet that they’ll try and do something about it. What that will be and if it will matter is anyones guess…..
