Ghostbusters game removed from the web
Cast your mind back ten days, and we were getting all excited about the possibility of playing a brand new Ghostbusters game, thanks to some videos that were deliberately leaked on YouTube. If you head towards the videos now, they are no longer there, as have been removed at the request of Sony. Head over to Zootfly and there is also no trace of the game.

They are the fateful words you shall see should you try and re-watch some of the videos. CVG got in contact with Zootfly, who confirmed that they were made to remove anything to do with Ghostbusters on their site and the videos on YouTube, so that negotiations could continue behind closed doors.

It’s obvious that Zootfly probably shouldn’t have released the videos when they didn’t hold the license, but the response to the game has been excellent, so this will hopefully encourage Zootfly to keep pressing. At the same time, Sony are going to have to give in, and I doubt they will charge a fair price, especially if Zootfly don’t plan to bring the game to the PS3. Or, if we take it to the extreme, Sony Pictures may sue Zootfly for creating and releasing stuff without the correct license. Hopefully Sony will do the right thing.

Damn hope this game comes out. The videos looked great and they were still in early developement stages.
Damn Sony fags are gonna have to give up that license
they better stop while they can before fudgin microsoft makes there decison to buy capcom and take devil may cry from them.
That’s a shame. I guess I’m lucky to have seen those videos in the first place then. I really do hope things get worked out and the game does get put into licensed production. Even if it has to be shared with Sony’s PS3…who cares, as long as it gets done.
“Hopefully Sony will do the right thing”…must surpress giggle…must hold back laugh……try to keep it in……”BAAA HAAH HAA”. oh b**ger.
Typical Sony, I knew this would happen. They should just stick to doing what they do best - embarrassing themselves. Keep it up chaps!

I have the video downloaded so no probs :).
Sony hasn’t done things right for a long time. They probably won’t start now.
I thought Sony could only take action if they’d used it commercially?!

Funny how Sony starts throwing out the copyright infringement legalese, but when they go STEALING Project Gotham Racing 3’s banner image and claim it is a screengrab of GTHD all is good? Sony SUCKS
Nice blog. Check mine out sometime. As luck would have it, I actually just did post on Ghostbusters…

I don’t see why this can’t be done.
Sony own the rights for the Spidey films, and all the games for that franchise have been multi-format.
Why should this be different?
….this reminds me of a video….
