Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting details

IGN wrote a hands-on about the upcoming XBLA game Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting. Still no exact date of when it’s coming out, but some other interesting facts. The game will support 720 and 1080i but unfortunately there’s no support for 16:9 screens, the game will be book-ended with black bars.

The precise release date is, unfortunately, still somewhat nebulous. After asking a Capcom representative several times if it was releasing in March, we were only told that it was still being worked on and nothing was confirmed yet. Though there are plenty of places to get our SFII fixes elsewhere, the XBLA version will prove unique because of its scoreboards. Finally, all those who talked endless amounts of trash about their skills in the arcades of old will be put to the test, their true results in stark view for all to see.

Yea, I was hoping it would be either 720p or 1080i, but it sucks it’s not going to be widescreen.
