Pre-Order Halo 3 at Best Buy and get 1600 MSP for $4.99

Everybody likes deals and special offers and over the last two weeks, we saw GameStop and EB Games offer some nice deals to their customers. However, this week it is Best Buy that is offering their customers something to think about spending their money on. If you pre-order Halo 3 from Best Buy, you will be able to purchase 1600 Microsoft Points for only $4.99.

Buy Halo 3 at Best Buy and get 1600 MSP for $4.99

In my opinion, this deal is a great opportunity for American Xbox 360 owners to get some Microsoft Points for next to nothing. These could be used to buy one of the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade games or maybe even the Call of Duty map pack. Considering that most people will pre-order Halo 3 anyway and the fact the this offer applies to both the normal and Limited Edition of the game, it really is worth your while getting the Microsoft Points with it.

To avail of this offer, you have to go to this page, pre-order the game, select the card and click “Add Items to Cart”. It’s worth knowing that this offer is only available on the Best Buy website and that it may not be combined with any other offers. Unfortunately, this offer can not be availed of if you pre-order the Legendary Edition of Halo 3, but I still think that this is a great deal.

Is this available in store as well or only through the website?

Website only. I went into a retail BB here and they only do pre-orders online.

This has been around going on a month now. But it is a great deal if you are willing to wait for your game.

They had a 29.99/5.00 game/points deal a while back, and I got three games and cards that way. I guess they want the Halo 3 crowd now.

Yup, website only.

Not true. My friend preordered it at Best Buy (store) and got the points.

They’re not offering pre-order for the legendary edition, so this deal is pointless for the hardcore fans that want that edition.
