Go All In for some Championship Poker
Oxygen games yesterday announced a new game for their Poker series: “World Championship Poker 2: All In”, which attempts to set itself apart from other poker games by adding in new ideas and developing on what has already been done.
By developing on what has already done, Oxygen Games will be implementing the Xbox Live Vision Camera, as previously seen in World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions where you could map your own face into the game. It’s likely that you will be able to see your opponents around the table, as there was no mention of face mapping in the press release.
New things brought to the table include a variety of different poker variants. It’s no fun to keep playing Texas Hold ‘Em, so to mix it up, Oxygen Games promise several different types of poker; Five Card Stud Poker would be one such nice change.
Boasting an extensive feature set designed specifically to make full use of the Xbox® 360 video game and entertainment system’s capabilities, World Championship Poker 2: All In features more varieties of poker, multi-table on-line tournaments and smarter AI - that actually thinks ahead. In addition to this, the game includes extra poker personalities, more game environments and Xbox® Live compatibility with webcam support.
The announcement even comes with a release date, that of the 16th of March. Just over a month away, the game must almost be finished, so more details about the game should be coming out in the next few weeks.
It is likely the game will offer slightly more than Microsoft’s (initially free) Poker game Texas Hold ‘Em on the Arcade. Whilst it is good and enjoyable, it lacks any lasting appeal due to cheaters and people not taking their turn fast enough and so on. Hopefully Oxygen Games realise this and implement some security measures which will mean cheating won’t happen, making the experience much more enjoyable for everyone.

too many of these games no ones gonna buy it
The first installment is terrible and was just released at the end of November for the 360 , its terrible.. The worst poker game ive ever played.
Its #10 on the worst games for the 360 too date on gamespot reviews.
And the screenie looks like a 360 pic from the controller scheme pic right above the flop. The character prolly looks like shit cause he used vision cam.
…well im looking forward to it all the same. AND less than 30 minutes ago by chance I bumped into someone else from this site on UNO (The Glovner) - very nice wallpaper mate!! lol
I must have been out the back having a smoke when you came in, apologies. (I don’t smoke in the house so it’s to the kitchen and out the back door, then just keep hitting the A button which is the beauty of UNO I suppose)
Damn. Whats that all about?
