Dead Rising hands-on

IGN had a little hands-on with the highly anticipated zombie-slasher Dead Rising. The game is coming along nice and gives a whole new meaning to the word ‘replay-value’.

They shoved safety cones over zombie heads, slashed them with medieval swords and whacked them with beach umbrella’s. The full game is supposed to have over 250 of these ‘weapons’ and has no problems with 100 zombies on your screen at once, sweet! After that they cooked up some pizza’s and raw meat to restore health. If the hands-on didn’t satisfy your Dead Rising needs checkout the official sites, some screenshots and a trailer here.

I’m just hoping that this doesnt turn into just another State of Emergency… that game was TERRIBLE. However, the concept behind this one sounds pretty darn good. I love the Dawn of the Dead atmosphere.
