Double Dragon gameplay video
We know what next Wednesday holds for us in the way of an Arcade release, so here is a look into the future. We already heard that Double Dragon would be making its way to the Arcade at some point, with the option of enhanced or original graphics, depending on how you feel. If you wanted enhanced graphics, then you’ll enjoy the new video posted on InsideGamer.
Unfortunately, if you wanted the original graphics, you will be disappointed with the video. Especially when you realise just how strange it looks; some of the characters just don’t look right.
It’s hideous!
Nonetheless I’m sure when this game gets released in 2009 (accounting for the inevitable delays) everyone will snap it up and simply turn to the original graphics for comfort. The video also shows the beautiful High Definition backgrounds that we will all see when playing the game.
When the game launches (rumours suggest March) it should be released for 400 Points, but anything can change.
I put a few quarters in this one back in the day. Don’t think they needed to mess with graphics though. Not sure if I’ll get this one or not…

it’s a double release (double dragon/worms), the roundhouse kick turns yr character into a worm and the barrels into holy hand grenades

Double Dragon may well of been great way back then but in today’s market it is going to suck so bad. Watching that video has helped me decide not to even try the demo it will only spoil my good memory’s of this game. I forgot how repetitive the gameplay really was and how lame the animation was even for an old skool game.

I agree with you totally… I loved worms back then but it’s just dated when you see it now… the concept of the game is still great but it needs a lot more moves and better graphics. A game like this with the graphics of DOA4 would absolutely rock! Of course it wouldn’t fit in xbl anymore then…

i use to be able to clear this game on 1 credit, i hop they get it right, just hop they kept the elbow move and flying kick. its was cool to hear that music again.
