Worms: “Out of certification”
Yes ladies and gentlemen, the game that everyone has literally been screaming for has passed certification and is now awaiting a release date. It means we could see Worms on the Arcade as soon as next week, but that is nothing but a guess.
“We’re not sure of the [release] date just yet - it’s only been certified for about six hours! - but I imagine it’ll be a few weeks given the line up”
They were the fantastic words passed on to Eurogamer earlier today from Martin Brown, head of the Worms team. It is interesting to note that he mentions the line up of Arcade titles, which suggests that there may indeed be a few games through the certification process. In which case, it is up to Microsoft to pick and choose what we get when.
In other rumour-orientated news, the Xbox.com Worms page has been put up. The last time an Arcade page was put up early was that of Alien Hominid. As we all know, that is released today, so therefore it strongly suggests that Worms may be close, and perhaps we could see it next week.
For now though, just be glad that the game is out of certification and is at least safe to be unleashed into the public domain. A price point hasn’t officially been set, however 800 Points seems the most likely contender at this stage.
