how will they incorporate any new weapons into the maps? will they only be on the new maps? if they do change the achievments will past playing in player matches count toward achievements or just after the dlc will count? I definetley don’t like the glitching but it has unfortunately become a major part of the game that I dislike… y do u think they put weapons in the middle of such maps as gridlock and war machine? so there would be a battle to ensue over posession.. not for someone to slide away with them and have the advantage

It would be nice if companies would make games that had “dual” achievements, such as in gears have a co-op/single player achievement that goes with an online multiplayer achievement. so if you get it on multiplayer the singleplayer/ co-op achievement goes away and vice versa, so if someone wants to get 1000gamerscore on gears but doesn’t like playing the story mode or t he online mode they can still get that.

i think that it is a great idea but i like to join player matches to screw around and glitch. this might cause a problem to all of use that use player matches to mess around and glitch. i am a highly ranked player i just dont want to join a payer room and get yelled at for glitching. but other than that it is a great idea.

keegan, glitchers a are cheaters. weapon sliding don’t create a level field. if you’re weapon sliding and it aint the host trying to shoot you then how are you evening it up?? you are a complete cheat. play it fiar or don’t play it at all.

People say there are a lot of cheats playing this game but i have only ever seen 1 strange thing happen in the countless games i have played.

That strange thing btw was on ‘Canals’ at the start of every round 1 player(host) on my team would instantly pick up the Sniper gun before the 3 of us could take 2 steps forward. Needless to say after the third time he did this everyone started to leave from both teams as it was obviously a glitch he had found.

People who use the weapon pickup glitch and the chainsaw-and-cover for extra start-speed glitch use it to counteract the EXTREME host advantage (if you play this game on a competitive basis, you know, this game is WAY worse than most games Live Host issues (and ppl thought Halo 2 had big host advantage)). Roadie Runners and the others glitches you can’t say as much for, but weapon pickups and chainsaw-covering is to dilute the advantage host has (which, again, is massive in this particular game).

Gears is the best online game out right now, and the best game of the year IMHO.

I like changing the achievements, simply becuase most of the peeps out there cheat in ranked and have thier ‘achievement parties’ Go to a two round game of rooftops and see what I mean.

Awe, it’ not fair. It’s a video game. Many of us refuse to play matchmaking because of all of the little teeny boppers out there who ruin the on-line experience by exploiting every glitch, and it is these same players who talk about fairness.

Stop those damn multiplayer achievements. Some people are total dicks and only play online for 463 hours straight to get a special achievement. So what? I want to get the perfect 1000 just by playing co-op or solo and enjoy the game to the fullest.

So far? Only TDU is up to par, with just a few races against other people and the rest is down to the player. Just need a few 100 miles and I’m done (1000 points).

Developers: get a life. Give 1000 points for solo & co-op and give 250 points for the people that play the ranked matches!

I quit playing Gears because of all the cheating assholes that you get in EVERY game of ranked, I just got sick of all the shit, maybe ill play again when the patch comes out, but not only do they cheat, they try to justify cheating as “part of the game” such as the rodie run or the weapon pick up glitch, its a load of bull shit if you ask me

Thought about the weapons when I was writing that article, too. Only thing is that it isn’t like CoD3 in which there are a few SP weapons they could add to MP. I’m reckoning the DLC, if this rumour is true that is, will be maps (paid for) and a new gametype (free).

I’d prefer some single-player content. I don’t like this game online, everyone’s totally arsey whenever I play.

Had some dutch dude go on a 5 minute whining, crying rant about people ’stealing’ his kills.

We weren’t even playing on a ranked game. This sort of thing seems to happen every time I play games like this online.

I would guess there is a tiny percentage of people who play GoW, do NOT have the ‘ranked achievements’, who still play the game online all the time, and i think changing them is a good idea. Too many people ONLY play ranked for the achievements and no other reason. How many 1 round only servers have i joined with the host trying to get the 50host games achievements. I haven’t got any of the 100 kills achievements as i just lose patience on Ranked games as i want to play with people for more than 10mins so i can get to know there tactics and play better with them. If this happens i applaud Epic. Brave move.

Not to sound cruel, but serves them right for being achievement whores. I refuse to play just for achievements. While I have reasonable gamerscore, it is purely because I play games to the fullest.

Besides, it will still be the same. You’ll still have to kill 100 people with all guns. So no problem there I’m guessing.
